I keep failing a grind

I've spent about 3 million trying to grind a 10* weapon to +10, including buying grinders, success rates, risk reductions.

It simply won't get to 10 and I'm at a complete loss on what to do next. I was thinking of selling the weapon while I still have a shop and getting like half of what I wasted on it.

Edit: Is there like some strategy to grinding that I'm missing?

I just feel Dudu like to fail the grind, at least for me.
So I always do the grinding process with Monica.

Here is what I usually do to grind my 10*

+0 to +7 ----> Nothing
+7 to +8 ----> Grind Risk Reduction (+1)
+8 to +10 --> Grind Risk Reduction (+1) and Grind Success Rate +5% or +10%

Not the safest, but it's a cost-efficient way to grind 10*

Then I did the same things on two other characters for less than 100k. Random luck sucks.

All I can say is, just keep trying with +1 and +5%/+10%.
If you're not having any luck, try taking a break, or even trying a different block (probably doesn't matter, but I do it anyway).

^ Pretty much this. It'll vary a lot, just be patient and you'll eventually hit +10. I've wasted 2mil+ trying to grind a red launcher back when they were worth something, and recently blew through 6m+ to +10 Ruins mirage. Its not uncommon to have loooong streaks of failures :/

Well that's the "trick" so just keep trying. That's just how it is. It's all up to random chance.

Though if you're running out of money, stop at +8-9 and sit on it for a bit. That one extra grind isn't that much of a boost, and it's better than +1 if you're trying to use the thing.

I don't use full protects anymore. They really only serve to make fails even more costly. My basic strategy is to go with what Ordy posted, but I change blocks if I get 3 fails in a row. May just be superstition, but whatever.

I also only let Dudu grind for me. Monica is for affixing. Again, probably my own superstition, but this has worked for me pretty well (especially Monica with affixing).

I spent less than 200k grinding my Rikalbari to +10, of course I used 10% and +2 risks at +8. You must be very unlucky :P

Edit: I forgot to mention I had Monica do it, seems she's not as evil as Dudu after all.

I feel like it helps only to carry 20-30 grinders at a time, yesterday and the day bwfore i got a 10* +10 for my force, both with crappy affixes but still

Sometimes the game decides that a certain weapon of yours won't get to +10, happened to me with a shitty 7*
Grinded several 8* and 9* easily, the 7* never got over +7
Monica fails tons, but Dudu succeeds pretty well.
Also, Monica's voice is way too annoying.

Monica is the devil of grinding. I wouldn't let her touch my weapon after what she did. 3mil and it wouldn't even past +7 on a 7*, like WTF! Dudu ending up saving the day. Like what the other person posted, if I fail to much then I'll wait or change block.

I never have problems grinding really. I just grinded a 10star weapon for 700k, where 400k of the cost was +1 grind risks and a +10% (which I had many extra of afterwards) I used on the 10th grind that costed 200k.

The +1 grind reductions help a ton for 7-10 though. Use them.

Unit are different from weapon. It is easier. I grind an 11* Unit with no reduction and still got +10 with less then 200k.

this might actually piss alot of people off... but I dont use anything to Grind other than the grinder itself... get +10 on 10* all the time without actually wasting more than 15 grinders in the process. I think Dudu might be sweet on my character.

EDIT: now that I look back at the last part on this post... Dudu sweet on my character sounds pretty nasty.

Spent 3 mil on Elder Fist +10, 1.5 mil on Lava Seeker +10 lvl 1 potential and 700K on Nishiki +10 lvl 1 potential. I used 60+ -1 grind risk. The elder fist grind hurt the most and this all happened within 30 mins.

10* Units are significantly easier to +10 than 10* weapons. If you're referring to non 10*'s then your input is pointless anyway.
