Not anymore than you would for playing the game and buying AC from Japan. SEGA clearly shows no qualms when it comes to accepting payment from gaijin; otherwise, they would have setup a massive IP ban and block all access to their SEGA ID log-in page for us. The reason this won't happen is because we are another source of income for them. Especially when it comes 'round to the holidays that we share with Japan, such as Halloween and Christmas.

The only way you risk getting your account banned is if you commit illegal pratices such as RMT (Real Money Trading) for the game or if you are a hacker.

It is a similar issue that I bring up with people who are wary to download the English patches; those won't put you at any risk of being banned as they are all client-side modifications that do not tamper with the game itself. Thus, it doesn't fall under what would be classified as 'hacking'. Hacking is used as a general term to describe any modification to anything, mind you, but the type of hacking I'm talking here is the illegal kind that could result in a ban.

For the people who have reported getting banned from the JP servers, they have all been infamously known for hacking or real-money trading. Both of which are illegal practices.
