Error Code 630

Hi im new to pso world and i have a question. I created a new character in pso2 and each time i try to enter the next area in the forest it just puts me on a blue loading screen. It will keep going on forever. Eventually a messege pops up saying error code 630. I have tried creating a new character,restarting my pc, and trying a wired connection all have not worked if anyone out there could help thatw ould be great! ^^

Looks like error 630 means you lost connection to the server. Are you on slow internet by chance?

Nope im on a very good internet connection i have no idea but each time i try to enter the next area of the forest it just wont load and give me that error. sadness fills me :(

Hmm. Haven't had to use this solution for PSO2 yet, but sounds like it could be a port forwarding issue. One source (http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/606336-phantasy-star-online-2/63445531/709545026) says to open ports TCP 12000-12999*. I am searching for more sources to confirm. You could try that preemptively if you're handy with port forwarding.

*Edit: A second source (http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?t=207416) says it's TCP 25188. Trying to find a definitive answer.

Second edit: A third source (http://www.the-ghf-clan.de/pso2serverstatus.html) makes a very strong case for TCP 12000-12999. I'd try that, if not both.

Nope i just port forwarded it and no luck still i wonder whats going on?

Ok i tested both 12000-12999 and 25188, They both did not work. After i try to go to the next area of the forest in chapter 0 boom loading screen then 2 minutes later error code 630 lost connection or somthing it says i dont know what to do now ;(

I'm still brainstorming on this. Would mind sharing a screetshot of your speed test (http://speedtest.net) with us?

You should try without any of the english patches.
