best way to backup pso2?

well my laptop's hard drive is beginning to show signs of going bad. and ive run a system image and saved it on my external hard drive (500 GB). now if i restore this image on a new pc will i able to run pso2 fine and normally and not have to redownload the whole game and such?

You'll need to run a file check, and download any updates, but otherwise, it's going to work fine, you won't have to re-download the entire thing.
