I don't get why sega doesn't..

Since alot of us play on the japanese servers of pso2, why don't they just translate the text to english and let us play there? Maybe have a language switcher. When I played on the jp servers I didn't lag too bad at all and I am from canada. I think this may be best since SoA seems really edgy.. might not be the word for it, but its like they are scared to have a US release of it or something.

I had the same thought yesterday. It wouldn't be the first game to be international, and lag doesn't seem to be much of an issue. Really all they would need to do is allow us to pay and give us an official english option. It would also make managing updates a whole lot easier.

Other games have managed it just fine in the past and I know of 1 or 2 games I have seen around that do it currently.

People keep saying stuff like this but I've seen things like scratches, gachapons, whatever, in a bunch of games launched in the west. I'm pretty sure it'd only be considered gambling if it were possible for you to make a net loss. Technically you always get something and it's hard to gauge the actual monetary price of virtual items.

I don't approve of it, and I hate how it's the ONLY way to get cool outfits, but I doubt that's the real reason the game has taken so long.

Because pooping out poorly color coordinated clothing and gradual miniscule equipment upgrades revolving entirely around random number generation over the course of several years reaps MASSIVE profits. And people LOVE those things. Point any issues out, and in come the people trumpeting "it's a free game, you are not allowed to complain" whilst hypocritically throwing money at SEGA.

Anyway, to get an idea of how tiny a game PSO2 really is, try imagining the game with every single random number generation and progression system removed.
You'll realize there isn't much left at all. Like most, I just wish that wasn't how PSO2 turned out.

Other countries treat their kids how you're supposed to treat them and they don't try to shield them from the real world. Other countries don't let their made up religions dictate what people see for the sake of the children. Plus the U.S. and their made up religions hasn't figured out the very thing you're trying to keep the kids from seeing and doing is the very thing they end up liking and wanting as adults because they were shielded from it as a child. These fake religions are slowing killing themselves off anyway because when these kids grow up and really see what the world is like they turn against these fake religion(s) that was forced onto them as a kid.

Now as far as Japan is concern they're possibly still mad over Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I know I would be and anything I could do to piss Americans off no matter how big or small I would do it. I think they would make a killing if they allowed foreign CC again but eh SOJ is only concerned about keeping there JP players happy and screwing everyone else.. look at PSO/PSU ? everyone knows how well they treated those servers..
