Found out I'm moving rather soon (like in a week), and so have been attempting to change the email
address associated with my PSO2 Sega ID.

Now, i recalled that there was a switch to Hiragana, but I also noted that a Hiragana keyboard was
available at the Log In site.

After 3 sets of 4 hour attempts, spread over 3 days, I was able to enlist the help of a fellow forumite,
who was able to easily read the Hiragana.

Today marks the second attempt the two of us have used skype to quickly provide the image to him,
so that he can IM me the characters, and then I copypaste it into the captcha.

As I understand it, there's a 2 minute limit on character entry, and we've been hitting that.

However, the site has yet to accept any translations.

I'm getting rather frustrated, and concerned for my account, as I've triple-digit real $$ spent on my account.

Could anyone lend advice, or additional assistance?

I don't understand why you need to change your email? When you login from a new IP SEGA will send you a code to the email that was registered under the account. You will then input that code right after you login, and then that IP will be saved to the servers so you don't have to do it again in the future.

Now if you need help with the captcha, there is a thread (http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?t=203925) for that where people will give you the hiragana if you provide them the picture.

Bolded item is an issue.
The email that is registered, will be going away when I move.
Hence, I'm attempting to change it BEFORE I move so that when I log in, the re-register
IP code will get to me.

@AIDA:
Not quite an error code, but it's saying there's an input error.
It's acting as if my Sega ID, Pass, or Captcha is wrong - and we've verified all three as correct.

I won't have access to it - it's a local cable provider's email - which I won't be using where I'm going.
(Yes, this means I was fairly stupid and signed up PSO2 with a local email, versus something like gmail...)

Well when logging in, most ppl use this link (http://www.lexilogos.com/keyboard/hiragana.htm)

Its linked in multiple threads. Try searching around the forum first ;)

Hope someone who had the same problem could help.
Here's what we were doing, I guess it took us less that 40 sec for every attempt:

In fact, that's the keyboard I'd been using, as it's provided at the log in site.
(and I did search through a number of threads - it's why I've delayed so long in asking;
rather thought I understood what to do)

Shinureal is the person that's been helping me out on the Captcha, to no avail.
(NOT his fault, as his translations have been quick!)

Have u checked ur username or password? That is the correct captcha and I would not go as far as to say its a login bug cause jp have been buying AC for the new scratch.

If it isnt, ur username/password, I just suggest keep trying with lexilogos.

Yeah, attempted using non-capital letter versions of my ID name, and Pass,
Tried proper-capped versions.

Have tried ~50 attempts with Shinureal's assistance for the captcha.

All nope-nope-nope.

ARGH.

That's exactly what I'm feeling. Even attempted a few more times an hour ago.

I just thought I'd mention this exact thing happened to me back during the first password change campaign. Absolutely nothing could possibly convince the thing to ever take a single captcha, and I did it so many times the things were getting done in 30 seconds or less. There's seriously something funny with their site, I simply gave up on it and hope I never need to use one for something serious.

My only advice is if you can't talk someone into doing it for you and you lose your email please do the sensible thing and make a yahoo mail account or something. Why people still use provider emails in this day and age is beyond me.

Try clearing your cookies or refreshing the captcha in-between attempts.

I've had this happen from time to time, usually doing that helps.
