Greetings

As you can already tell from the title this is an idea thread, I am attempting to collect ideas that could possibly better pso2 because I don’t have a great imagination. So I thought I could send to them in a nicely worded translated list of ideas to their survey (http://bumped.org/psublog/pso2-players-survey-2/) board from long ago. (Hopefully it still works). If that all goes bad I’ll just send an email.

You can put 1 idea or 10 ideas it doesn't matter.

Here are 5 ideas that I came up with but I could use a few more so my so the list doesn't look so short.

Idea: 1 A mini game
If they added a laptop or desktop room item, I wish it that could play something like this.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbDgrYLP4v4[/SPOILER-BOX]

Idea: 2 Mall park city areas
[SPOILER-BOX]I want an area that looks like urban or just a regular street, but nothing would be destroyed. In the urban area there should be a mall with multiple shops; however, the utilities will not use mesata as currency it will use fun points. Where you can play in a casino or buy accessories [SPOILER](excluding Ac scratches) and furniture (the exception to this is holiday furniture which would be only available on holidays) and so the player wouldn't have to worry about revivals. In the casino you may play slots or what I would hope to begin is betting on boss battles. To prevent easy choices when deciding there would small traps on the field or confusing match ups to bring difficulty to decisions. An example being (persona and 3 dark ark clones VS a boosted SH vardha)[/SPOILER-BOX]

Idea: 3 Boss simulation area
[SPOILER-BOX] Somewhere along the urban city there would be an area where the player can do boss battle runs. To help teach newer players how to stay alive and they wouldn't have to run for a bit to find the boss or get sidetracked with a random things. It could also be for those people who enjoy seeing who can kill the boss the fastest.
Note: The bosses wouldn't drop anything because that would lead to people farming bosses for drops.[/SPOILER-BOX]

Idea 4: Ideas for emotes, hairstyles and accessories
[SPOILER-BOX](Mla) Arm drops
(Fla) Curb stomp
(Mla) Death animation
(Fla) Dizzy animation

Words on eyes contacts [SPOILER-BOX]http://images7.alphacoders.com/328/328112.jpg[/SPOILER-BOX]
Liberty spikes Mohawk hair
Hair styles with highlights
[/SPOILER-BOX]

Idea 5: Accessory and hairstyle previews

I've always wanted to go to Urban Area in the lobby. We have whole cities on the arks ship but the most we ever get to see of them is outside our rooms or in ruins during an AQ or story quest. Sometimes I want to explore more than the gate or shopping areas.

Idea 5: Accessory and hairstyle previews
[SPOILER-BOX]:???:[/SPOILER-BOX]

THIS!^
Sometimes accessories or hairstyles just don't map properly on your character. It's really frustrating when you think something's going to look nice, but find out it doesn't after you've already wasted your meseta.
[SPOILER-BOX]http://i.imgur.com/W2MpjRG.png[/SPOILER-BOX]
I spent 500k on an Ionia head part, only to find that it covers up my eyes. If there were a ticket previewer, I wouldn't have made the purchase.

Idea 1: 10* Units
[SPOILER-BOX]There's no option for them to get a 10* pass with in exchange for 10* units, so I think it's only fair that players shouldn't have to use a 10* pass to buy a 10* unit. That, or add an option in the recycle shop that let's you exchange a certain amount of 10* units for a pass.[/SPOILER-BOX]

Idea 2: Team Chat
[SPOILER-BOX]I'd like an option to start off with you chat set straight to team chat. I know it's a little simple and stupid, but I rarely talk outside of team chat. If I could just change my settings. I wouldn't have to change my chat channel every time I log in. [/SPOILER-BOX]

Idea 3: Team Accessories
[SPOILER-BOX]To make the accessories be more about your team, allow players to have their team logo pasted onto the accessories. Also, SEGA should make them actual accessories that only pop up in the salon if your team has them unlocked. I really dislike not being able to see it while I'm in the salon, or seeing my clone running around without a beret. [/SPOILER-BOX]

Revert the nerfs(That they did so long ago) to item sale price to the npcs and nerf TACOs.

This, itll make grinding a little more worth while and if you play avidly you could earn 2m (probably more since i used to get around 1m a day on hard mode just grinding and were in sh now) or a bit more if you do TA as well as grind.

Another idea would be to completely redo the skill trees to make them all balanced instead of adding more skills deeper in which just add to the SP cost.

Make the AI a little more aggressive, because even in super hard mode they just dance around you waiting to die after they've finished running up to you.

The skilltrees are fine atm. They should however edit some of the sp cost to max a skill, but have it just as good. So the worse skills cost less and the better ones like Fury Stance stay at a high cost.

At the very least, ticket preview would be a nice premium feature. Not sure why it doesn't exist at all.

What is "them"? Are you referring to non-premium players, or implying that 10* unit passes don't exist? If the latter...

Oh derp, I was thinking about how only 10* weps can be turned into excubes... I really should refrain from posting when I'm tired.

I'm not so much bothered by not being able to preview hairstyles and accessories, it's more of an inconvenience to me, but what truly bothers me is that hairstyle and accessory tickets only apply to the character using it. There would be so many more for sale if people didn't have to buy one for each of their characters. Hopefully Sega address this in future but I'm not getting my hopes up :nono:

I want the quest "Towards the future" in PSO2, with the locked rooms and everything, adapted with the enemies of PSO2 instead.

I want Mags to be useful, more than just 1 PB, make the limit 3 PBs and Dex stat should be more significant, so that it's actually worth to have more than 50 on it.

More character customisation: the game is already wonderful in this part, basically giving us a doll to dress up. Make it even more detailed, allowing us to have multiple skin paint, shoes, gloves hats, etc. Individual parts of clothing.

Yes please and make it another source to earn Fun point but with a limit (from there on you'll get nothing more but can still play).

Idea: 2 Mall park city areas
[SPOILER-BOX]I want an area that looks like urban or just a regular street, but nothing would be destroyed. OMG, this so much. Not just city area in the fleet but also free explore peaceful areas on each of the planets (which the team rooms are modeled after >_> )

Would work if the game was harder but in PSO2 case, meh.

My idea:

Idea 1 (not going to happen): Scrap all of the skill trees and make new ones tying each line to a weapon or stance depending on the class.
[SPOILER-BOX]Leave hunter (2 lines) tied with stances, Leave Fighter (2 lines) tied with stances, Gu (2 lines) tree tied to weapons (why are rifles in Gu? seriously), Fo (2 lines)tree tied to weapons, Te(2 lines) tree tied to role (damage/support), and Ra (2 lines) tied to weapons seriously why nothing dedicated to Launchers but standing snipe?. Oh and fix the Braver tree, it's good but looks ugly have weapons tied to stances or other way around.[/SPOILER-BOX]

Idea 2: Community Vote <-----Me want this most.
[SPOILER-BOX] Create a large selection of costumes, accessories, and hairstyles and have the community vote for the top 5 of each or more for the next ones to appear in the next scratch.[/SPOILER-BOX]

Idea 3: More objective based missions instead of genocides.

Idea 4: Better enemy AI and lower the stupid damage. Small mobs should not be doing damage near or 1/3 of that of a boss!
[SPOILER-BOX]Increase player HP size, lower mob damage, allow bosses to create buffs for mobs and self, instead of stupid 1 attacks give mobs/bosses combo attacks, make all mob/boss damage x% percent based on player HP and stats instead of fixed damage...............I can go on and on but these are the top things in my mind that'll make the game harder.[/SPOILER-BOX]

Idea 5: PSU's PA system x PSO2's PA palettes.

[SPOILER-BOX]Take PSU's 3-in-a-row altering PAs and add it to the current PSO2 PA slots. Each PA slotted will look different when attacking when slotted into another slot while creating more utility or dealing more damage. -creates more creativity-[/SPOILER-BOX]

How about a card game?

Enemies could uncommonly drop cards, sometimes of the enemy itself, sometimes of a weapon or effect card. There would even be rare cards that would be treated as actual rare drops.

You could also FUN scratch for a booster pack (finally, another use for FUN!), or single cards. Perhaps 100 FUN = 1 random card, but 500 FUN = a booster pack of say, 7 cards. You could also buy pre-made decks from an NPC shop for Meseta or FUN.

There would also be a new NPC who would give you card-related COs. The first one, to simply get any card to drop from any enemy, would give you a starter deck as a reward. Other COs could include winning x amount of matches or collecting a certain number of cards in order to get rare cards as rewards. Also, one of their quests would give you a Talis which looks like a deck of cards that you throw, and has the ability Card Collector, which makes enemies drop cards more often. You could also get rare cards of specific NPCs by raising their happiness level to max and speaking to them.

If you're Premium, you could trade cards with other players, and even bet Meseta on card games (though there would probably be a low bet cap like 5k to keep people from getting tons of meseta from the game).

Please no card system. I didnt like it in Ragnarok and I wont in PSO2.

I'm basing this entirely on the name of the Braver class, but I feel like they should get a Skill called Blood Oath, Blood Pact or something like that; it boosts their power as their health gets closer and closer to 0...

All br needs is a good bow pa that is a good mob clearer. If they could do something like Gu's heel stab, then Gu would have some serious competition for master class(deuman would also become master race).

not like pso2 is allready like gambling....

I think I've explained this several times but the reason things like gachapons and scratches exist in mmos without breaking gambling laws most of the time is due to the difficulty of putting a concrete price on virtual items. So long as you get SOMETHING it's technically not gambling. Then there's also the fact that you're buying AC, and then spending the AC to roll scratches, not actual money.

That said, I really doubt something like poker couldn't show up as a minigame as long as real money isn't involved (why would it be?)

Along with the accessory ticket preview, I always thought it would have been nice to be able to have outfit "sets". By that I mean being able to tie accessories/hairstyles of your choosing to a specific outfit in the makeover shop, and when you equip it outside of the shop your accessories/hair will change according to how you set it up.

Not that jumping over to the makeover shop is all that hard or time consuming, but y'know.

Yes I do know. 3: Nothing sucks more than having an outfit that looks good with certain accessories, another outfit that looks better without accessories, and then wanting to switch between them.

AREA:

That large water tower that sits in the background of Coast looks awesome, would be nice to see whats inside. We could really use more indoor areas since Sanctum is the only one. It could even be an EQ like the Urban area.

Quest type: VR, where you can modify your skill tree and limit levels of your main and subclass how you want, and place any enemies in an XQ-like area. Prerequisites for unlocking - same as for XQ.

Quest type: VR... well, like those custom missions in PSP2i.

A test server where we can tweak skill bonuses ourselves so we can see how classes play after some changes, possibly change skill effects completely.

Players would be able to post their changes, and other players would try them out.

Popular changes would get dev attention.

Good ones would be put in the real game.

Example:
"Hey guys, here's my tweaked force tree. I changed the ice skills. They're actually useful now!"
"Wow great changes!"
Sega implements changes because they're good and everyone loves them.

@ AlaskanKactus - "That large water tower that sits in the background of Coast" is most likely the Entrance to the new Seabed area. Since the deco follows the building. Other area's also follows this like Forest ----> Tundra ----> Ruins......Etc. Also we have like 6 indoor areas City - (Inside Ship), Darkers Den - (Inside Ship), Mines, Caves - (at least part/most of it), Sanctum - (at least part/most of it), Seabed.

I was under the impression that it was the seabed area

but yeah more indoor areas would be cool. A caves area that isnt a monochromatic red would be nice. I swear, SEGA doesn't know how to use anything but analogous color schemes. It gets boring fast.

I could go on about the actual quality and design of the environment though, it's all really bad.

I always thought the player base being a part of development is a great idea, especially when it comes to MMO games. SEGA should at least put surveys you can fill out in-game, say, every 5 levels starting at lvl 10 or 15.

Since this is basically the "if only..." thread, I'll post some things that have come across my mind.

Make the game more competitive with out PvP:
-Post Team leader board on the big screen in the lobbies.
-Change interrupt rankings: Instead, IR will be its own EQ. Similar to Extreme Quests, a team enters and must kill the IR target over and over all in one go. When all the party members die or someone retires, you session is over and your score is sent. This can be repeated until the IR is over, but not stacked onto your previous score, only overwriting your previous score if you get a better score.
-Increase rewards for winning IRs.
(What would be really cool is if random IR parties could be televised to the screens in the lobby.)
EDIT: If all the party members in the IR are in the same team, they can score Team Points for placing high in the IR.

Use those stupid back rooms in the shops area no one goes to:
-Turn them into cafes or bars. Players can sit down and buy drinks or food (XP Boosts) but you can not buy any for yourself, only for other people sitting down in the cafe/bar. Limited to buying X amount of stuff per hour, or something.

they should post winners of the interrupt rankings faces on the big screens for a little while. that would be fun.

I like seeing those kinds of things and going "Hey I know that person! :D "
