Download Problems

I'm trying to help a friend download and install the game. For some reason though, clicking on the downloader .exe doesn't do anything. The downloader doesn't pop up, nor does a process even start, or any permission to run message. Using Windows 8.

If you live near your friend, I would suggest to copy your game files in a hard disk and give it to him/her. If you can do this way, I'll tell you which files to copy.
