Ok, I've been a long time lurker and a first time poster so...if I'm doing anything wrong lemme know ;)

I'm a 52 Force/50 Fi right now and I'm having armor unit issues, rather I'm not sure what I should be doing with armor units.

For now I'm using the 3 piece snow banther set with Ragne Soul, some have a second ability on it but I figure I would be replacing it sooner or later.

Now...I magically got 2 of the 3 pieces for the Blue Luxe set yesterday and I'm wondering if I should replace snow banther at all if I get the third one. If that's the case I can start ability adding to the Luxe instead.

Or is there a third set I should be aiming for? If possible I don't want to aim for the 61+ sets just yet, I still have a not so optimal weapon.

Taking from Cirnopedia, the Blue Luxe set gives:

DEX +60
HP +60
PP +10 (and +14 PP from the individual pieces, totaling +24)

And the Snow Banther Set gives...

T-ATK +45
PP +3 (and +6 PP from the individual pieces, totaling +9)
HP +60

Of course, defensively the Luxe set blows it out of the water...

Any thoughts?

PS: Did I post right? :(

Using Ragne set +90 on each damage type plus 6 pp

Ragne back has Ragne Soul + Tech III so +60 t Atk and 20hp "i fucked up this unit's affixes"

Ragne arm Ragne Soul+mutation+stamina I so 45 t atk + 50 hp i think + something i cant recall. :p

ragne legs its Ragne Soul+mutation+stamina I i think so +45 t atk 50 hp + something i cant recall

so in units

+145 hp or something

+240 t atk

all units have strike resist so i get a bit more survival from it. ill check my numbers later cuz i cant recall the numbers exactly.

but ading the afixes on my wand +60 t atk +3 pp "its an elysion" so ive burned around 2 mil trying to get Ragne soul into it but always failed

so Elder soul + Tech III

i want to ad stamina but i'm not in the dudu mood.

It depend, I have 2 sets in mind when it comes to PP-oriented

11* Magicka Set for generic straight-forward way:

[SPOILER-BOX]リア/マギカクラフト
アーム/マギカウィッカ
レッグ/マギカミコン

Each part come with 157(219 at +10) S-DEF, 157(219) R-DEF, 181(253) T-DEF, 5 Lightning Resist, Strike Resist and 5 PP.
Set bonus add +90 to all ATK, 15 Lightning Resist.[/SPOILER-BOX]

Total at +10: 657 S-DEF, 657 R-DEF, 759 T-DEF, 30 Lightning Resist, 3x Strike Resist, 90 all ATK, 15 PP.

The mixed-up one with totally "cooler" stats:

[SPOILER-BOX]リア/フォリーカット
レッグ/フォリーピース
(drop from red code funji in SH)

Each come with 211(295) S-DEF, 157(219) R-DEF, 157(219) T-DEF, 4 Dark Resist, Strike Resist, Ranged Resist, 40 HP, 3 PP
Set Bonus add +60 to R-ATK and T-ATK, 10 Dark Resist and 10 PP

Couple with this individual piece:

アーム/ヘイレムジース
(drop from red code dodge visbolt)
211(295) SDEF, 157(219) RDEF, 157(219) TDEF, Strike Resist, 10 PP[/SPOILER-BOX]

Total at +10: 885 S-DEF, 657 R-DEF, 657 T-DEF, 18 Dark Resist, 3x Strike Resist, 2x Ranged Resist, 60 R-ATK, 60 T-ATK, 80 HP, 26 PP.

...well thats end game maybe, most people can live fine with just banther set though.

A nice SH set for forces, the primula set.
- 282/257/225 defenses at +10
- 40 HP and 3 PP per unit (for a total of 120 HP and 9 PP)
- 60 S-ATK, 60 T-ATK and 10 PP as set bonus

Good luck in farming codes and get 8★'s instead.

I'm still using the Banther set, but I haven't played Force for a long while.

The better you play, the more you can focus on damage and neglect defense.
But there are still some instances where you're unlikely to avoid being hit.
Still, a lot depends on your playstyle.
I think you kinda have to get a feel for that balance on your own.

Racial/gender stats might be a factor to consider, too.
My human Force seems to die a lot less than my newman Force.

Thanks everyone for responding.

From what I gather, however much defense you have doesn't really matter as long as you can take one accidental hit (no big hits like quartz dragon charge and etc.). You will still die in two...

I think I'll finish affixing my Banther set, I barely get hit as it is. Force dodge OP. I think with slightly more HP I should be able to survive a majority of things coming my way.

T Atk >>>>>>>>>>>> Everything else yes? yes? :D

Multipliers > T Atk.

When it comes to Armor, this is the set I use currently. You want to try to aim more for PP than T-Att because the multipliers from the skill trees will give you more power. So you want to be able to cast more.

It gives pretty good defenses. I am a 65FO / 58TE and I can withstand 2-3 hits in SH. Which then gives me enough time to pop a resta. Something a bit more cost efficient you could go for it a Elder Soul / Technique III / Spirita Boost. That'll still give you a decent amount.

Calburn also offers the same bonuses as Primula, trading Tech Resist for Strike Resist and SATK+60 for RATK+60.

Since I solo a lot, I picked up a kings set (232/173/173 per piece at +10, set bonus: +60 to all attacks, 24% wind, adds 165 HP & 9PP before affixing), that was affixed with Ragne, Stamina 2, Tech 3 & Stamina boost. It gives me over 900 HP, and with a guts drink will allow me to survive a head on with the pain train in Falz Arms SH. It wasn't cheap, though...

When using a rod, I prefer my kings set. It gives me slightly less tech than the +90 set bonus from the 11*s but it gives me a massive boost in HP, which really helps out when casting zondeel from a rod. Plus, it's an all around improvement over the snow set.
