Sound problem

Hello everyone!

recently, yesterday to be exact, I copied the whole Sega folder from my Desktop to my laptop (yeah I was too lazy to download the game and install it properly on the laptop). The game worked, after a quick update, but the sound isn't playing.

Is that normal? should I install the game normally in order to get the sound working?

thanks, but I guess it was just win8 derping (like always with me), now I installed win7 and it's working just fine.

i can run pso2 from my external hhd and i get sound, currently with win8.1

I don't know, just installed 7 and it worked, I anyway was going to remove the 8, I never liked it :(

Sure, it's an opinion's matter, and to be fair, I believe that a new Windows is mostly better than the older ones. But I don't know why, maybe I was just too used to XP that I barely accepted 7, and for 8, over my dead body, I'd say, at least for now :).
