For fun:
http://pso2.swiki.jp/index.php?累積経験値

Red is "experience required to next level" and blue is "total experience".

That goes to the index page for whatever reason fyi. Regardless, you should be glad it looks like that now because at one point it took 48 million exp or so to get to 50 alone. Fun, right?

Google Translate Link (http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fpso2.swiki.jp%2Findex.php%3F%25E7%2 5B4%25AF%25E7%25A9%258D%25E7%25B5%258C%25E9%25A8%2 593%25E5%2580%25A4)

The hardest part is actually 45->50 since once you're in SH you get a ton of COs with massive EXP rewards. That, and mob EXP gets a lot higher on every difficulty jump.

according to this wiki it was total 173M to get to 50 at first

I remember that. It was fucking stupid and people still got a bunch of levels before it was nerfed iirc.

I think that this graph could use some reworking with future levels. If this continues, you'll have to get double your exp to level up eventually.

Even with the COs that give tons of exp this is a bit ludicrous unless they want to be handing out millions per CO in the future.

No? The increase from 50+ is pretty much linear.

If it continues at exactly the same rate, 99->100 would take 3.25m and your total EXP from 1->100 would be 111m.

But what about 200? 300? 400? There is no telling how high the levels will go, and Segac wants to drag this out for around ten years or so....

64->65 is 6% of your total EXP from 1->65
99->100 would be 3% of 1->100...

Most probably game designers wanted/expected players to spam AQs when level cap got to 50.
Or they didn't want players to feel that they are at the endgame.

But, considering that curve was worse before, I'd rather say - both.

how could people run AQs half year before their release? ^^;

Well, I wasn't sure about the chronology of this game. I can say that they want lv45+ players to do AQs, because, even though so much time passed, this curve is still persistent (even though it was nerfed).

No, not total experience. The exp that you need to actually level up is going to eventually start to increase in gains of 100% more, or in other words, each level is going to require twice what the last one did. Assuming it doesn't already.

If you could figure out the formula you the EXP gain and EXP to Next Level, you might have an idea.

Are we looking at the same graph? Each level at 50+ requires less than 50k exp more than the previous level.

The EXP for 99->100 wouldn't even be double what the EXP for 64->65 would be...

Look, simply extending the graph all the way to lv500 you would see:

498->499: 65,102,500
499->500: 65,357,500

That's a difference of 255,000, which linearly increases by 500 EXP per level.

It'd be an entirely different thing if they kept it scaling up like lv40-50, but that's exactly why they didn't.

My bad, I was thinking of the blue graph(cumulative) and thinking it was per level. Though, if it continues at it's current rate....
I'd plot it and see where it goes, except I don't have anything to use to do so(anyone know of any freeware that's good for this?).

Right now it takes the amount added between the current level and the previous level and adds 500.

So for example from 56 to 57 it added 34000 on top of the exp for the previous level. For 57 to 58 it added 34500 for the level on top of that. If this pattern holds going forward we are looking at what I've attached.

Yeah, I remember that. I wasn't even going to bother.

I find it funny how the blue graph clearly visualizes the sudden massive jump of required exp from 46 to 50, which people coincidentally seem to complain most about.
Wonder how long it'll take SEGA to notice and do something about it?
