which one is better to use? pso2's Anti-ailiasing from the display settings or the override application option from video card menus? (my setup for now is AF set at x16 for everything i use)

We kinda need to know what Video Card you use
Nvidia Inspector is better than the game's AA, but that's all I know

if you haven't seen it yet, this thread goes into great detail about adding driver based AA, ambient occlusion, and SweetFX for high end machines+^_^+

AMD drivers anti-aliasing methods (MSAA and SSAA) don't work in PSO2.
There's the post processing filters, like MLAA (in the drivers), FXAA or SMAA (with 3rd party tools), but the quality of those is no better than the in-game AA.

another question but how would this game run at 1920x1080 Resoultion compared to 1366x768?

Well, 1920x1080 is 2,073,600 pixels, while 1366x768 is 1,049,088 pixels... so you can expect half the framerate.

OK so Edge-detect allows you to use AA in pso2. but your FPS gets cut in half. screenshots:

just checked with only catalyst on x8 box, adaptive off on my HD 4650, works normally, there is some artifacts but it does it's job fairly well
[SPOILER-BOX]http://i.imgur.com/oOl04Al.jpg[/SPOILER-BOX]
and now x8 edge-detect, adaptive off

edit: oh, right, the artifacts on textures (shimmering) are from spectular mapping from what my friend told me ages ago

i think only morphological filtering works. disabled morph but left edge-detect on and the games looks like its regular AA

4650 is outdated so i don't have any option like that

SSAA is better than MSAA, but it uses more resources.

I had no idea that Edge-Detect worked, going to check it out later. :o

Should have read the post about AA better, so it's just the morphological filter that works...
The MLAA filter is not much better than the game's AA, and it also blurs the text...

MSAA, Adaptive MSAA, SSAA...neither of those work for me (Radeon HD6850)... :<

About AF (Anisotropic Filtering), I've been using it since the Alpha 2 test, that one has worked since the beginning.

The tessellation setting is meant only for games that have it implemented, it doesn't work in PSO2.

edge-detect works, i've posted a screenshot in one of my post; don't have even access to morphological filter

Older cards like the HD4000 series have different AA settings, so what works for those may not work for newer cards. :\

makes sense, tested just myself and it's like you said, doesn't work at all
