This thread is dedicated to the fashion of PSO2 and a platform for everybody to show their design.

★Fashion Thread then & now★

We had a lot of posts the past year and they did showcase lots of different styles. With all those posts we saw people entering the fashion scene and some leaving it, though a certain crowd always stayed.
There have been times where the rules have been slightly forgotten, especially the rule about going off topic. While it is totally fine to go off topic some times, we would like to keep it at a minimum however, so that newcomers and people that do not post so often, do not get overlooked.
It’s been a nice year and I thank all of you for your ongoing support and your respect for this thread. It wouldn’t be possible without all of you!



A few words towards the Topic of Fashion now.
Fashion is for all of us a way to express our self and enjoy a different aspect of this game. By giving our characters personality through how they look.
Each of us, has a different view on fashion and what we like and enjoy. In this thread however, we can all come together to share our fashion with each other and also enjoy the fashion of other people. Of course everybody has a different taste to what they like when it comes to fashion, so always keep that in mind. What you my like others might now and vice versa.
But we can offer advice and our opinions in form of constructive criticism, to help others improve their style or get a different view on it. This has helped many people with their characters in the past. Together we can work out great things and we should try to help each other, even if they sometimes do not want to hear it.
It would be nice to see some more constructive criticism this year, so if you have some, share it!




★Fashion Spotlight of the Month★

Since our thread was so well liked and visited we started the Fashion Spotlight and we will keep doing this little mini-event further on.

These spotlight winners will be saved in a PSOW gallery. The idea is to choose one fashion picture from this thread each month which shows a good sense fashion, the same picture will be also shown with no spoiler-box in the first post to be recognized as fashion spotlight of the month.

Participation: every pictures that gets posted here in this thread is considered automatically participating for the spotlight. However, we will resize the picture to be within 1024x size in wide, so that we could be able to put it on the first page without resizing it.

Score: The scoring of the pictures is about the Style and combination of the characters as a whole, including face, body, hair, clothes & parts, unit, weapon, pose, and background. Photoshop will not be judged in the process, meaning it has no impact on the entries. Any picture fulfilling the criteria gets a chance in the spotlight and will be chosen by a team of judges from the Phashion group. Judges will change every month so in the case of a participating member there will be no conflicts. Though our goal is to keep the winners to be someone who is not part of our group.

General Thread Rules:
‣ 1 The purpose of this thread is to bring the most out of PSO2’s unique and stylish fashion. You can post pictures related to character and weapon model here in your own way.

Photos illustrating or implying sexual behaviors of your own or others characters (This will include a direct shot of the crotch during Dance6)
Allowing the salon glitch to show off your character entirely nude or 99% nude

I would like to point out that the spotlight judges appreciate any extra thought you put into your pictures. While we're mostly looking at how well all of your accessories go together, we're also looking for poses and backgrounds when you post your pictures. Every little bit you put into each shot is noticed.

It was the back that caught my eye, really. The combination of the metal extension connecting to the skirt makes for an interesting combination.

Well the second one makes her look more mature and I prefer it, but I've never been a fan of the baby-face in the first place so it might just be bias. The fact that she's like 6 feet tall (I assume some is from the outfit though), makes the first one seem kinda off in general. i'mnotgoodatthis.

Not really. I actually really like a lot of Dark skinned chars. Cyron, Rei, etc etc are all really nice looking. They're very attractive characters.

I just think the change in this case is much too sudden and jarring. Maybe if it was more of a gradual change. "Maybe." But I've always personally liked Aya's light skin tone on her, so hey, personal preferences. *shrugs*

They are quite popular with CASTs. The metallic gray with some blueish colors go really well together and give CASTs some kind of machine look.

Since fiddling with skin tones and whatnot I got back into the habit of fiddling with esthe features. Namely, arms/shoulders on my newearl are a bit too thick/wide for the rest of the body. So I tried adjusting around that by making the arms match the frame, then tried messing around with general characteristics, then just making the rest of the body thick enough to compensate for the arms.

Using the string bikini setup because that seems to work best for checking muscle mass's effects around the ribcage.

From what I can see B, and C look the best proportion wise. On D, E and F the head looks a little small for the body.

From what I can see B, and C look the best proportion wise. On D, E and F the head looks a little small for the body.
You're right there; gonna have to keep the shoulders reasonably proportional to the head.

Overall I like it a fair bit better after checking through on other costumes! Might do some slight modifications to the face, check against a bunch of accessories (any ear change basically requires this) and call it good.

Current skin color is a bit more vibrant, and sticks out more. New one is a bit dull, in multiple senses of the word in my opinion, and the body...well, current body build looks a bit too skinny for my tastes.

Honestly I don't understand either, every race can be fashionable. and very often it's even easier for fleshies, because CAST parts can look so different to one another and changing colors is so much easier with fleshies.
Both sides have their up and downs but both have a place in here and noone needs their own thread.

The fact that you didn't know about it and can't find it is reason enough for there to not be a separate thread for casts. If people haven't even heard of its pre-existing thread then it should be merged into an existing thread, especially if it's such a similar one in nature.

I don't see a point why we should make a separate thread because CASTs are a bit different. Fashion is a thing that should bring us together and not drive us apart.

This is the general Fashion thread that was never meant to be only for one kind of race and it will always be open to everyone. Each race is unique in their very own ways and each race probably has their jokes about them. But this thread is for all where we come, show our creations, ask for opinions and get new ideas for styles. It should always be for all of us and I don't see a good reason for any kind of separation.

As pointed out there has been a CAST thread in the past but in the end it stopped and people kept posting in here and I think that shows that Fashion is a thing that connects all races together.^^
