Im curious on everyones thoughts on S/R/T-defenses and how much they've built. Discuss!

Little over 1.1k of each with vadhra set............How do I feel? Besides having an absurdly large HP for Gu/HU because of it.......................it feels **** knowing that I'll still get 1-3 shot by bosses and 2-4 shots by mobs regardless of s/r/t Def.

S/R/T =/= much survival in PSO2.

Mine are 1700/1300/1100, I was using whatever s-def the 4* dot set gave me before crafting came out and now the change is unimaginably significant, Feels like it doubled my tankability

Also whats your hp on your guhu

Was originally 1 Friggen K but dumbed it down to 922 after replacing stamina affixes with other affixes.

1070/1039/889 Def

I can avoid most oneshots like DF arms' grab and Ringhadanados so I feel pretty good about my survivability.

Anything more would just be silly.

this is fresh so i don't know yet about my survivability
i remember taking 2 banther hits and living with 5 hp but that's it really

As long as I'm focused, I mostly able to avoid 1 shot .... but yeah, things do happens ^^;
Ah, and please note, my current gear isn't extended yet, still waiting for the meseta >.<

S&R defs are just over 1k
T def is around 900 give or take.

This is on my character that's currently a gunner though so yeah I don't care much.

Interesting, With the way Unit extension works Im pretty sure all units get to roughly the same stats depending on s/t/r type unit, and the boost I got from my 4* Dot set pushed its defenses beyond even Bulb Ireen (As well as all having +105 HP +65 S-att without set bonuses). I feel pretty beefy... almost too beefy at this point though...

Isn't defense non-linear? Meaning, the more defense you put on you, the more noticeable the gain? I would expect that the gain from 1900 to 2000 negates more of an attack than 1000-1100 against a high level enemy.

But of course, it's pointless to focus on defense in this game. You have mobs to oneshot.

But of course, it's pointless to focus on defense in this game. You have mobs to oneshot.Defense is subtracted from the attacker's attack, so if defense >= attack then the damage would hit the floor of 1. So yeah, as you approach the enemy's attack the marginal value of additional defense increases greatly.

It'd be very potent if you could get remotely close to the enemy's S/R/Tatks on three stats which are (generally) mutually exclusive with your attack stat, aside from outrageously high-slot affixes.

Considering your main threats would be using Ranged or Tech attacks, not really. Might be a decent check against Bravers if they still had a 20 second "I win" button in theoretical PvP.

And even 2k S-Atk would still be doing hundreds per hit against 1700 S-Def, so I'd imagine a single Shunka could still kill you if player damage wasn't scaled down.

1,316/1,337/~1.2k defenses, 780 hp, 12% melee resistance as Gu/Hu, with guld milla cus im completely lazy when it comes to actually getting a powerful mech now. How does it make me feel? not bad :3

Mikeh we were running with you AQs yesterday and your character survived every single hit from the banshee and the kill adds xD.

Banthers a pansy next to Crys Draal and his full burst with wc (EVERY PROJECTILE COMES AT ME OMG) cannot kill me.

well because im never getting another im stuck with 30 element, so most if not all the newish SH 10* mechs with damage bonus latents will outdamageit greatly @ 50 element vs my gm's 30
