The servers can be "online" but you cannot login yet, this is normal and happens every time shortly before the servers start allowing people to login.

Servers aren't supposed to be letting people in for another hour and 16 minutes (i believe), but often we're able to login sooner than they announced.
When servers start replying to packets on certain ports, like they are at this moment, it's a sign the server will probably let people log in soon.
Just keep trying, we'll probably be able to login in the next 15 minutes or less.

Originally, maintenance was supposed to end at 6pm JST, then about 2pm JST they revised the time back to 4pm JST. At 4:15, the player's site reported need to extend time time a little. That's where we're at now...

There isn't even a patch today. It's all server side. Maybe someone lost the server source code.

People complain because this game has a consumer base system, people pay real money to play PSO as premium, they are the customer, They have the right to complain and change there attitude at will, if people didn't complain the game would be the same and nothing would ever change.. :x And i do admit Sega's process to fix things have aggravated people alot lately.

I get the message that you're trying to convey but the way you're putting it is as negative as you are trying to say those who are 'bashing' on sega are which makes you seem almost as immature. What you work and how long you work has nothing to do based on positivity and negativity. Work also has nothing to do with the world of Phantasy Star and PSO-W. What I see if you trying to put yourself off as a better person and I can't say I agree with that. Because in the end, it's only going to make you look like a lesser person. I understand that you're upset with people's attitude towards Sega and I can't really blame you. It's true that I've never seen a company that has produced/hosted a MMO being bashed so hard, but still this is only the internet. A place where people may voice their opinions and say what they want. I'm pretty sure I ignore enough of what's said around these forums...a lot, sometimes kids and even adults need a stern wake up call and someone to stand up for the defenseless and say something than nothing at all (bullying?), whether or not they actually take it to heart or act out defensively and don't want to hear it which they all obviously did, the point still got across and in due time it will sink in and they will eventually realize i wasn't trying to "look better" than everyone else, People just would rather target me for "looking better" instead of seeing the moral and intentions of the post and what i was getting across. but nope, and as to be expected anyway.

If I was trying to come off as a better person than you, I would've said something like my current living conditions or my work or something of the sorts and then go on with what I wanted to say. I'm not trying to imply in any way shape or form that I'm better than you. I am simply just stating my opinion and what I see. I'm not targeting you or trying to 'attack' you but I can say that the statements about you working and your attitude towards it were not required and you could've said it in a different matter that doesn't involve you personal life. That is how I perceive that you are trying to look better than those who are speaking negatively towards Sega. You could've easily said something like like, "Look, this company works really hard to make a game that you all love so well but instead you sit here just speak completely negatively towards them and that really makes me sick. Ect. ect. ect." But instead you go on about yourself and your personal life and somehow it relates to attitude towards work.

And I do agree with you on the whole bullying thing but I also agree with what someone stated before about how a lot of these people are customers to the game and have paid hard earned money on the game and it appears to disappoint them, which gives them the right to voice their opinion otherwise the chances of things changing are slim. I can almost guaranteed Sega knows about this site and if they were smart they would have an employee keep an eye on it. I've seen a few companies do so in the past.

As for the 'next time i see someone getting bullied in real life', that is a completely different matter. What we're talking about is the internet. If this were someone being bullied in real life, I don't think the defender would walk up and say, "I work full time how-many-days-a-week and some-amount-of-hours and I feel this way so you should quit bullying them right now cause it makes me sick watching you." Because then the one doing the bullying would just laugh at you and go about their day continuing what they're doing.

I see your point. I guess i was just trying to relate since ive also been on the receiving end of things. Anywho, i am also a paying player though and theres a clear difference between constructive feedback and bitching lol...i had to say something. If you got issues, file a support ticket or do something constructive, whining here just looks bad and makes everyone look like spoiled little brats and harms the community for sure.

I only stated my work conditions because it relates to sega and their employees and how people are bashing the employees at sega. Obviously i wouldnt say that in a real life situation to a bully if it wasnt relevant, lol i wouldnt of said anything about my work had it not been related in some ways.
