What exactly does it do?

After using it, it creates a cool looking aura around your sword, is this supposed to do something or is it just for looks?

It might as well just be for looks. It's functionally useless. It's supposed to increase damage and attack speed, but it's so slow to use that everything else is dead by the time you use it.

It increases all sword damage by 25% for 40 seconds. With 0 gear, it takes 3 seconds to finish. when you have full gear, it takes 1 second. Its pretty powerful by itself. If a mob dies while your sucking its soul, you are still rooted in place, but you get the full effect.

However its pretty awful on mobs with hyper armour, or ones you can't grab. the effect lasts half as long, iirc.

Actually it doesn't increase sword normal attack or just guard damage and it's a 20% boost
