Dualshock 4 controller custom mapping

I've been playing the game with my PS4 controller using the DS4 to XInput wrapper for a while, and recently I've tried mapping the numpad keys to some of my buttons for quick weapons switching. It works perfectly fine on my Dualshock 3 with DS3 tool, but PSO2 seems to completely ignore any custom mapping on my DS4. Instead, those buttons are just completely disabled until I change it back.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

There's a custom tool made by a redditor that properly adds support for the DS4 in pso2.

EDIT: Well that wasn't quite what I hoped for. It doesn't seem to include any function for mapping and really, I can't get it to work at all. Rather it made it so PSO2 doesn't recognize my DualShock 3 anymore either. It worked at first, but it didn't seem to recognize all buttons, so I tried to change the number of buttons and it just completely stopped working...
