How do you get the Mark ability on your weapons?

A couple times i got these mark abilities fro example mark Grif, mark joyo, and mark couragena. How do you get these abilities on certain weapons?

You need 3 weapons with the mark on it in order to transfer. Since you can only use a maximum of 2 weapons + the base weapon, you must find the weapon with the mark already on it.

Mark abilities only appear on weapons you tek, at random.

Mark abilities cannot transfer, from what I've been told.
