What is the most populated ship out there? It can be mainly jap speaking (Learning it anyway)? Or definently a better economy than ship 2 >_>

Ship 1, definitely.

I dunno, I'm pretty sure Ship 4 at this point has more people than 1, or at least equal to.

Ship 4 does have the most people on. I notice its the first one to hit busy status during JP prime time

I was kidding but I do know ship 6 has more people than 4 and 1.

if you expect decent economies, plenty of players at rush hours -- both Japanese or Gaijins, ship9 is there to welcome you aboard, otherwise ship4 and 7(cmiiw) could be a good choice too

Ship 9 has a decent economy, but I don't think it's very crowded compared to the other ships. At least, I rarely ever see it in busy status. xD
It does have a good amount of people though, always enough people online at all times to do EQs and such.
From what I hear from people on ship 2 and more crowded ships, people tend to be less friendly to new players too... like you will be more likely to get kicked out of parties for making mistakes or being a newbie. I have not seen anyone do that on ship 9 probably because there's not that many people, so people aren't so picky. Some people even will teach you tips and advice during the mission.
As for active English players, well it seems like just one team that I know of has 24/7 active players, while most others are small teams of friends that may not be too active.

Ship 2 economy isn't that terrible, compared to Ship 1 and Ship 7 though.

I was thinking of either Ship 9 or Ship 4

How do you guys compare? I'd like to know the differences between Ship 8 and the others.

Thanks in advance

that's why i said in rush hour lol
players in ship9 tends to be more passive and talks in party or team rather than in pub chats

the ship used to get Busy pretty fast on mid 2013, but somehow it's ship4 now that gets Busy easily now

and btw, im your team manager there if you hadnt notice yet :v

That's true, I only really see one group of people chat in public, in the more populated blocks like in the beginner block. Often see the same few people and a few different there chatting.
I guess it was more active in 2013, from what I remember. Though maybe having more blocks spreads out the population too. XD

just stay on Ship2, it's known for gaijins so the Japanese people tolerate your lack of communication, and some even try to speak English. On other ships you'll have to find a really huge Gaijin team to be able to communicate with others. Why do gaijins like to go to ships where they aren't welcome? Stop annoying the natives, it's their game, stick to ship 2 otherwise learn the language/find a huge gaijin team. kthxbai

edit: if you know the basic 3000 kanji then I'm sure they will welcome you, don't go there whilst you're "learning" ionno, I just don't like pissing them off, I know how I felt when people spoke foreign languages on English games

I'd understand if it was a game like Counter-Strike or League of Legends that requires a lot of teamwork to be effective. If you can't speak the same language, you can't communicate well, and you don't do very well. That makes sense.

PSO2 does not require that level of communication by a long shot. If you just keep to yourself and speak English in private, you're not going to piss any Japanese players off by simply being there. If you're an experienced (or well informed) player, you shouldn't have any problems. For a newbie player, though, Ship 2 is probably the place to be. It's nice having people around who can help you learn the mechanics of the game better.

And the last time I checked, it was Sega's game.

The most happenin' place seems to be Ship 4. At least, it seems to be in the 'busy' status the most often lately.

I think you misunderstood me, I said LACK of communication. You're thinking too much about how it affects gameplay, ofcourse it doesn't, do costumes affect gameplay? No, language is the same. If it was me I'd want to talk and have fun with that player, you know, SOCIALISE, it's a game afterall. If a JP player asks you something and you don't understand him he will think you're ignoring him, which will make him feel uneasy whilst playing. This is an mmo game after all, were here to enjoy our selves and talk to other people, if you want to play solo and hide from people just go play single player games. And yes, it's the Japanese players game, they are the target audience, the games servers are in Japan, any compensation is strictly to Japanese addresses (like the data loss problem where JP people go 10,000 ac)

Honestly, you think that WE have the right to play this game? It's a courtesy, if SEGA wanted to they could terminate any gaijin's account with no questions asked. They have already said is against the rules to play pso2 from international IP's, you should thank our lucky stars that they haven't IP banned everyone. I think you really lack appreciation here o.o

Uh, like I said in my previous post, lack of communication isn't really that big of a deal in this game. If you like play solo or with a smaller group of friends, I see no problem is playing in a ship other than ship 2. Japanese players don't talk to strangers that much to begin with, from my experiences. Playing on Ship 7 for a long time before starting over on Ship 2, I only ever had a couple of randoms try and speak to me directly. Everything else was just auto-word crap. I think you're the one who is making it into a bigger deal than it really is.

And honestly, I don't think rights has anything to do with playing an online. The service is run be Sega, if they wanted to remove me, they would. The attitudes of the players has nothing to do with it.

And how dare you call me unappreciative when I'm spending money on AC quite frequently. I'm actually supporting Sega by paying for the game. Can you say the same? I think if anything, Sega should appreciate that I'm playing their game since I'm giving them money. Judging by the fact that they haven't IP-locked the game probably means they do appreciate our business.

The terms of service excluding non-Japanese players has everything to do with the licensing agreements (Attack on Titan stuff, for example) that are only valid in Japan, as different companies hold those rights in different countries. It's not because 'lol SEGA hates Gainjins'.

If you'd like to hear more about my opinions, feel free to shoot me a PM, tho. I'm not trying to derail another thread. Sorry.

just stay on ship 2 unless you want to never see English players ever and don't give me that oh ship 10 has English player bs. 5-10 English players is not the same amount of English players in ship 2 and aside from B20 which a lot of the community just ignores ship 2 is fine as is.

When I logged in an hour ago all the ships were 'Busy' except for Ship 4, that one was 'Full'.

Having less people to talk to lets you focus more. It lets you learn to read not only the enemies' movements but also your allies' movements. You learn to work with others without saying a word. Isn't that wonderful? But that doesn't mean you should pick a ghost ship. No, pick one with LESS English-speaking players - At least I prefer it this way. Less BS, more action.

Having a Team REALLY helps with the occasional loneliness... and Time Attacks.

if you like all sort of penis and butt symbol art, ship2 b20 is the perfect place for you.
