I was thinking of fun and different ways to get items and meseta, as opposed to the endless grind. I thought of what I would call Arks Chess for lack of a better name. Imagine a standard chest game, except the pieces work as such;

-Pawns = Meseta
-Rooks = Units
-Bishops = Room goods/Occasional AC item
-Knights = Weapons
-King = Random rare
-Queen = Random rare

The idea is simple. You play out a simple game of chess. The winner gets to collect all of the meseta and items that represent their remaining pieces on the field, and of course as the difficulty gets higher, your King and Queen will be a much more rare item.

Just a simple idea I thought of. It would be very interesting to see something like this, or another fun mini-game in PSO2. Whatcha guys thing?

-EDIT- I thought of a feature where you can select the class you want to represent yourself as. If you play a game while represented as say a Ranger, then all of the weapons, units, and rares will be for said class. That way if you make a winning it would be more worth the effort.

So, are you playing against a computer or other players? I guess it's a decent idea as I do sometimes find myself just sitting in my room, team room, or lobby doing nothing anyway.

However, if playing against other players this can easily be exploited by win trading and if playing against a computer it would either be too easy or too hard, without a rating system in place to tell the computer how well it should play. Even then, you can exploit it by losing on purpose and tanking your rating thus making the computer super easy again. No matter how you look at it, it is too complicated to implement without taking too many people away from making new content.

The only items up for grabs would be the items the player has as their pieces. So in a PvP sense the player is always going to want to win because they want the pieces the represent their class. There would be no wagering to abuse trading. As for AI levels we can say they are selected based on difficulty like PSO is. Normal, Hard, Very Hard, Ultimate. If you find a particular level is too much to handle, then you will have an area fit for you. You'd be free to choose any difficulty from the get go if you wanted too. That way no one would feel any pressure from having to unlock anything.

I see what you mean, but if people have to put up their own pieces, they will most likely just use junk rares, which is fine, but it wouldn't be worth doing for equipment when you can just do SHAQs or XQs. The only legitimate reason to do it is for meseta and since sega doesn't want people making money outside of AC items and TAs they probably wouldn't make the pawns worth much.

I would like a casino with Roulette, slots, blackjack, competitive MP poker (with a house pot that goes to the winner, winnings depending on buy in), and pachinko.
It should use chips that can then be traded for exceptionally rare stuff from a counter, kinda like excube shop used to be, but better+^_^+
A gazillion varieties of each casino game has been programed 10 gazillion times over the world, so aside from the casino area and effects, wouldn't be too much a bother for SEGAC's lazy creative team to mash something together+^_^+
Also, one of the chip exchangeable winnings should be 3 day shop passes and 1 day prem tickets (both untradable/unsellable)+^_^+

*also, still waiting for the red vs blue rooms to be turned on, where people can fight each other gladiator style in the Sphere Arena*

^@Chik'Tikka - I could see the casino coming back since they had one in PSU, who knows.

This is too abusable for farming though.

Pvp then one player sends out king you dont loss any pieces and win
Rinse and repeat
