I too was getting a No. 107 Error until I used Hotspots Shield and set my virtual location to Japan. Doing so allowed me to get to the "Choose your Ship" screen and when I chose my ship and inputted the password, it didn't recognize it, but sent me an email, so that I can put in a pass-code which I did.. and I was able to log in.

It might be the other way around. I read that some ISPs limit their service to places being hit by DDoS attacks to limit collateral damage, it's possible that they simply haven't resumed service yet.

I also find it strange the pso2.jp website fails literally instantly when trying to access it (most sites, if they can't load, take longer to tell me it's not available). Yet I was able to use it before the servers came up.

however attempting to open the PSO2 client the default way would give me an error code (107). Trying to login at the Ship selection screen would give me an error code as well (249).

Tweaker cannot connect more than likely because it is using an old IP from Sega.

With all this mishap the servers IPs more than likely changed.

More than likely Comcast blocked Sega. Give it time or give them a call if you want. This has happened before for other services. Just use a VPN meantime.

If PSO2 refuses your advances, you get a standard "unable to connect" error. Same with the site - if you're blocked, all you'll get is either "server not found" or "connection timed out".

The game just crashed on me (I don't think it was related to what's going on) and it took me a few tries to log back on, but I didn't get a specific error just that the connection timed out. If it was a straight up IP block then they would have done it before trying to bring the servers up, and NO ONE, outside of japan, would be able to get on at all. Did you even read the rest of the thread? It seems to be an ISP/Traffic thing. It'll clear up after a while.

I can log fine on the website, as for the game, sometimes it goes smoothly, as in when I log servers appears as "ONLINE", but other times when I log they be lal "UNKNOWN" with a grey text, when this happens I can't really log in, so I close the client and try again, it works after a couple of tries...

Tons of ISPs all around the world decided to simultaneously block access to Sega's site right after Sega finished the maintenance, huh? Interesting. Maybe SEA isn't IP blocked, either, and it was just a pre-emptive block in case Sega gets DDoS'd?

On Comcast (Xfinity), Great Lakes Region, was getting 107s through the official launcher, and unable to access the main site. Booted up a JP VPN through SoftEther and full access. My guess is they're restricting incoming traffic to local-only, or where the traffic is being routed from. Hard to say.

Also the game servers are handling requests noticeably faster than before, even with a VPN. Sega invested in some quality hardware, and I'm really curious to see how they hold up to a peak hour player load.

ISPs were not blocking official site prior regardless of attack. So that makes no sense.

The fact that I can log on without a VPN should be proof enough that it's not some sort of gaijin IP block. I agree that it would be strange for a bunch of ISPs to suddenly block Sega's site, but it could be the other way around with them blocking traffic from certain ISPs and IP ranged untill they're sure everything is working.

At first through the tweaker it said servers were down and I was able to log in but all servers were set to unknown status. I then went to my PSO2 folder and noticed the PSO2 EXE was an older date. At first I tried the launcher and nothing happened but a 107 error (the blocking one supposedly)

After that I waited about 5 minutes while reading on the block here and then tried running all the exe's in the folder and then running the launcher again and noticed I now had an up to date exe.

I opened the game with the tweaker again and now all the servers are reporting UP

You can use an existing account, but PSO2 requires you to enter a confirmation code when you log in from an unusual IP range (which is likely to happen if you use a VPN of a different country), which Sega is supposed to email you, but, apparently, doesn't.

The email issue may be just temporary, as the player's site did mention that some services may not work. I'd re-check it for clarification, but I've been banned from it!

My guess is a lot of the 107 errors aren't IP ban related but are related to a rejected request\unanswered one. This might help a little bit. Someone said to flush the DNS cache in order to update with new server IPs, but it didn't work for me.

Tried once, got error 249, feared blocked. Tried 5 more times. Server Connection Timed out.
