This is in working online beta thanks to Coldbird, NCDyson and gang.
You need to be mildly tech saavy to get it up and running but the main features are operational.

Odd, last month Coldbird said he only had the main lobby up and running without issue. Cool either way since we never got a chance to play it originally.

There is a small community playing at the moment, there are still some kinks that need working out. Rapid progress is being made however.

I knew someone would blow the whistle. I put it here because people actually look at PS02 General.
Anyway, this isn't my project, I'm not claiming I had any part in its coming to fruition.
I just figured pso2 players of today may take an interest in this game.

Also, the creators of .hack stated that the original dreamcast pso was a major influence in the idea.

uh so what exactly is this game?
Not everyone plays/knows .hack.
From a quick google search its a ps2 online game?
is it not on pc?is it even good?

.hack//FRAGMENT was an online version of the original four games - It was only up for a year or so because it was TERRIBLE. Everyone just made Kite/Blackrose clones, character customization was pretty bad, and the game was pretty dated (even more so now).

I'd originally helped Coldbird out on this project (I designed the english area server software), but since he keeps leaving and coming back, I've moved on.

Funny enough. Terrible is always the word I hear about this. Not bad/shitty/sucked/horrible. Literally the exact word "Terrible."

You'll like the game if you were a fan of the original ps2 games, don't expect anything mind-blowing. It is simply an online extension of them. Play it if you enjoyed the franchise, or don't.
...Also, despite being in alpha it appears to be much more stable than pso2 at the moment....
