Frankly speaking, we've both come along way from that "Freedom" that allowed slavery and much else. We can only aim to better our countries by working together as communities, we are the voices, why not make that voice heard? All USA vs the White House ;) how would that end?

I 'celebrate' it by remembering it as a pretty good moment in history among many--a political configuration changing over a tax that is trivial by today's standards. The secession in 1861 was pretty good too. But yeah to celebrate them like we derive any benefit from them today when more of our incomes than ever before can be taken by force is silly.

There is no reason to celebrate the creation of a country. It's just an excuse to watch pretty explosions and encourage self-destructive, ignorant patriotism. Which is only slightly better than patriotic terrorists and warmongers.
