items not translating

i'm using the pso2 tweaker to install my English patches(both of them), and for some reason the items and some other things are not being translated. things like EQ's and the names of places. i see people having almost perfectly English games but mine is barely half translated.

also my story patch doesn't allow me to play the game, it just gets stuck at a loading screen.

am i being stupid, is there something i'm missing?
does anyone have any idea to whats going on

You can look at the side bar to see that the statuses of the Item and Story Patches are "unknown" (at least, they were a few hours ago before I launched), which implies they may not work properly

Also, the Story Patch generally never works until it gets tuned to work with the update
