Was just hanging out in my room when all of a sudden, puff, connection lost.
Tried to login again, servers, Unknown... Site pso2.jp also not showing up... Really weird.
Tried with internet over at work, and also not working...
Anyone else having the same issue?

The site is up, and the servers apparently too, pso2es is up too.

Were you using VPN at home?

No, always used direct-connection from my ISP to the game.
What's weird is that both ISP are not opening the pso2.jp website...
Was just connecting fine this morning, had no trouble doing the TD3.

Probably unrelated but digital ocean (san francisco) started having issues around last week. So probably routes propagating or sega breaking stuff

Tried rebooting your PC?

Yes, I did...
Hmm... Now that I look closely to the trace.... It seems some of the points changed since the last time I had my connections down due to the DDoS...
Weird... Why did the "way" change?

Just tested the servers with my AWS account, they show up fine...
Also... Somehow, it seems everything occured right at midnight JST....

It seems I am able to reach: 158.205.104.60... But why can't I do the final step and reach 210.189.209.8?
My IP address also didn't change... I guess I'll just have to wait it out some time and see what happens... This is really weird...

I was just taking it as an example, that it's not just an on/off thing. Anyway looking at the route, it looks that you can get thru idcf which is the provider sega uses. Can you try another computer/phone on your network? (to discard it being related to the machine you're using). It kinda looks like an ip ban, which is weird.

I tried opening pso2.jp on one of the PCs from work (not my own) and also didn't open the site, different IP, different ISP...

I'll try to log into PSO2es and see what happens...

WTF!!! PSO2ES WORKED!! I just logged in! What the hell is going on?
Are the android servers in a different system or something?
Hmmm... My tablet doesn't open the website, although the game works...
The es servers are definitelly different...

might be sega breaking stuff, just keep checking i guess?

IP Ban probably

Sometimes i think.

if i where a mod... 3/5 of the psow community would be banned.

Thanks for making me think about it.

Its a thought i relish.

I'll give it some time... Danm internet connections don't make up they're mind...
At worse, I'll just head back to the AWS method, worked 100% for me over the first online week that I could still not connect...

Try to give me a step-by-step trace, maybe I can help you out.

Yes. They never cease to entertain me! And I'm sure the crazy ass anger management people on this forum will come up with some pretty interesting ones. lol

On a serious note don't worry dude there's plenty of alternate ways to still connect and enjoy the game. Try the Amazon thing and VPNs are okay just you gotta be careful. I've been pretty safe so far. :) Just be inconspicuous with it.

How do you be inconspicuous with a VPN?
Either you are using one & it can be detected, or you are not?

I ask because I am getting ready to try something / anything. I've been off this entire time, ATT user on the EST USA , the problem is clearly not self-solving as was earlier hoped (I guess) & I really miss it. I don't want to give up on the game.

AWS is safe.
Unique IP address and MAC stays correct to your board.
