This reminds of that episode of Rocko's Modern Life where Mr. Bighead keeps asking the magic eight ball what to do every time he has to make a choice at his job. He keeps getting promoted until he has an office at the top of his building, which just so happens to go to outer space. I can't remember why, but he gets angry at the magic eight ball and, in his anger, throws it at the wall, at which point, it breaks. After realizing what he has done he goes over to the eight ball and cradles while he cries over it. When his boss walks in and sees him in this sad, desperate state he demotes him and forces him to go to magic eight ball rehab.

Even though it was marketed as a kids show the humor was actually pretty mature, not a really graphic way like Ren and Stimpy was, though. It had some fart, poop, and other immature jokes, but they some more adult themed ones as well. Like, the episode where Rocko has to get his appendix removed, but he had to fill out all that paperwork while in excruciating pain. Then Hefer just kept saying that he was too fat and got helped right away by the medical staff because they knew what was "wrong" with him despite not actually needing help.

I fucking miss that show.
