Turn in COs across 4 characters, get new cast/caseal parts and Bouncer outfit, mess around with parts combo for my Ra and Fi characters, play my Fi character, play my Te character, play my Ra character, say goodbye to Gu character, relog back to Te character sub Te and start testing Bo. And that's all after coming home :P

I'm sure you don't care that people don't care that you don't care, or maybe you do care. Eh, who cares? :-?

But seriously yeah 10x is a little ridiculous (unless it pays 1k, since there are a few repeatables that pay out 20k and what not, though if the 99x ones pay 10k. Hmm.)

But yeah the goal is just to get people to not only do TAs and do other stuff for money, but not stay in MPAs for days (I still can't believe Japanese players were doing this) for money.

But yeah, but yeah but yeah, I say but yeah a lot.

1) Buy any new cast parts. Nothing is more important than this step.

2) CO dump for BO, play with it for an hour or so

3) Eat fried smores poptart. Ok I lied this is more important than step 1.

4) Faceroll all new content with br/hu

5) If I like BO and see that pure satk has legit potential, I'll powerlevel it on pso2es. I'd like it if bo/br or bo/hu work, but if the class is too reliant on techs to work out (or its skill tree ends up being as terrible as it currently sounds), I'll just stick with br/hu.

In the survey, I told them the lobby is depressing and has shitty lighting.
I said they should make it look more like the shopping area.
They brightened it up, but it still doesn't look that great. I hope the lighting is better.

I was thinking that they should just put cities back in, with several docks to launch from.
Then the game wouldn't lag to shit with everyone needing to accept quests at the same quest counter.

I'm not a casual and the roadblocks were flat out bullshit.
You can't imagine how many times I failed by around 1 second because of random walls wasting my time, or necessary codes taking forever to occur.
Oh yeah, and I sometimes failed S rank by 0.01% or something ridiculous.
I think everyone still agrees that concealing how much is required to get S rank is pretty ridiculous.

Fortunately, that's all fixed now.
Before anyone complains that the changes let bad players through, I severely doubt that anyone's skill improved much from getting lucky with emergency codes.
The REAL reason why they made things so difficult and relied on random was to artificially extend the game's apparent content.
Because back then there were only 3 areas or so. They didn't want people clearing them immediately.

If you want to add something challenging, you shouldn't really make it a one-time roadblock that relies heavily on random chance.
Or a rank that nobody has any idea how well they're progressing with.
It should be something people can understand and enjoy at any time, and be rewarded for beating it.

By the way. There are still unlock orders for Free Exploration. So that's one case of 15k exp.
Unless they change how those quests are handled.

Class unlocks were bad, yeah. Would've been nice if BR/GU/TE/FI were "advanced classes" that any of the 3 starter ones could unlock and didn't need HU to unlock FI.

You did need HU to unlock FI, right? I forget, was so long ago.

I don't think you can blame RNG for failing those things, only your lack of skill. Actually, I'm fully confident you can't.

I don't think you can blame RNG for failing those things, only your lack of skill. Actually, I'm fully confident you can't.

Then you have absolutely no idea how game design works.
Ever played Left4Dead? Doesn't matter how good you are if the game happens to spawn a bad combination at a bad time.
Tons of Tanks + bad area + game didn't spawn weapons or items.
There is a line to cross where it goes from simply being difficult to being impossible. That's what happens when you don't fine tune your random properly.

For the record, I used to spend a lot of time soloing that game on maximum difficulty, so I don't think I'm that lacking in skill.
The bots in that game have rubbish AI, too. You're not supposed to be soloing with them.
I'm not an AMAZING player, but I'm certainly not crap.

Were you even playing PSO2 back then?
The last Desert quest was sometimes impossible to complete in time because the drill code sometimes did not spawn for up to an hour.
I am not even exaggerating. And it wasn't just me. There were a lot of complaints.
It happened to my friend, it happened to me multiple times, and it happened to my Japanese friends I'm talking to about this topic right now.

So, by your logic:
Required: finish quest in 18 minutes.
Code required to complete: takes 1 hour to occur.
= You're not skilled enough.

If you don't see how ridiculous that is, you're flat out insane and that's all I'm going to say on the matter.

And I'm going to quote this because I edited and added it later:

The REAL reason why they made things so difficult and relied on random was to artificially extend the game's apparent content.
Because back then there were only 3 areas or so. They didn't want people clearing them immediately.

PSO1 didn't have that kind of nonsense because the game initially came with a lot more content than PSO2 initially did.

Somehow, I'm reminded of Clones in Hard mode way long before they were changed to actually scale in level. Two memories that stand out actually:

-Getting one shotted while solo by a FO's megid that spawned almost point blank as the code triggered... my brain barely had the time to register I had a Code: permanent Gel Wulf in that spot.
-Helping some teammate doing an area unlock, we had one ark quest start with 3-4 clone and made us restart, cause Tunnel isn't know to be a wide area.... twice in a row.

Honestly, I can udnerstand the rage of being dependant on the game not screwing you with a dice roll that you got no way to alter.

I'm okay with walls if they divert you towards additional content, instead of forcing you to backtrack through areas you just cleared.

PSO1 had tons of walls. PSO1 recycled tons of content, too. The difference? It was smart about how it did it.

PSO1 handled walls well - you would frequently come to a T-junction with the path to the end of the dungeon blocked, so you went down the third path to unlock it (You may not have even known which way was to the exit yet).

Thirty minutes and 10 satisfying rooms later you find that the path you took is just a dead end. You go back the way you came, because that must be where the switch is. Yep, it was in a storage room with 4 boxes one room back. Was your time wasted? No, you killed a bunch of stuff and maybe even found an item.

This is an integral part of dungeon design; even general game design as a whole.

In PSO2 your time is thoroughly wasted by walls. You gain nothing but a fordran and 1 respawning digg.

edit: I called "walls" "roadblocks," so I swapped all the words to more accurately represent what I'm actually talking about.

re: The kind of roadblocks initially being discussed, PSO2 handled those poorly as well. It just didn't feel organic. Similar to walls in maps, there are ways to implement roadblocks well, but I don't think PSO2 executed them well. PSO1's roadblocks existed in the form of entire weapon classes you couldn't get until certain difficulties - twin sabers (hard), double sabers (hard? very hard?), twin daggers (normal caves), etc. are just a few examples. That felt like an organic progression. In PSO1 it was a subtle difference in attack patterns and timing, which became important for evading moves and such. It added onto your character and offered options, but didn't take away from what you already had either.

In PSO2 Hunter -> Fighter isn't an expansion of your existing abilities, it's an entirely separate class you can optionally use with Hunter. It's not quite the same.

I'll probably complain about the new spaceport.

Man I hate the way the new spaceport looks.

Current look for the spaceport was fine.

Out of every page Sega could fail to take out of PSO1's book, having multiple lobbies seems like such an obvious one that I can't even grasp why they wouldn't do it. It's extra content, and they're just throwing it away.

Considering this is an entire redesign of the skill tree, I believe they'll do a reset by themselves, without passes. If they try and keep points invested it'll be a complete clusterf*ck.

If I can find a good working free VPN where I don't need to place any of my information including credit/debit cards then I will try to catch up since my equipment should be outdated by then. If not then I'll have to quit this game... Not other choice.

It was nice meeting all of you. It's possible that had quested with some of you before. I never considered myself a good player but I tried to do my best.

Try CyberKitsume's Proxy. It works great.

Oh, I will level up Bouncer and get the MAG bonuses first, followed by crafting bonus.

fist thing im gonna do: enter and fool arround a little, and then not play for a day or two.

I think its the best, i don't wanna mess up my skill points x_x so i prefer to wait till the english patches are updated, and people already experimented with the new skill trees a little and can give me some insight on how to spend my points.
