Recently, the lag spikes have been terrible since Episode 3 launch, i was wondering if anyone else is having this issue and its not only me.

Yes, absolute crap, especially during EQs.

The game's servers are frequently "busy" and "full" these days. People are crazy about the last updates. I just wished Sega would actually fulfill their promise about fixing the damn lags.

I'm curious about the experiences of people that play on other ships to see if it's the same as in ship 2.

Ship 10 can get kind of bad at times.

Once the Bouncer and Casino Hype wears down it will not lag as much anymore, i hope. I Honestly wish Sega would bring in more ships or add additional Server upgrades.

I think they sould upgrade their server or add capacity for each ship.

It'll settle down once the excitement ends, but yeah the servers need some work. I'm getting terrible lag when I go to Shironia and have started getting 630'd in the last couple of days.

It's not just you, even Japanese player are experiencing it, Sega hasn't address it yet though.

Yup, decent amounts of lag spikes, especially during peak hours and EQs. Like someone else said, the Episode 3 hype is still fresh, so everyone's clamoring all the time. It probably won't die down anytime soon, what with the new Wopal field and whatnot coming, so it'll be up to SEGA to upgrade their hardware or something to fix it.

Does the delay when checking shop counted?
Because everytime i open shop the game kind of 'freeze' until all shop description & image for the current page loaded before it become normal again

using Softether / tsunagarumon vpn
because tweaker won't open on my pc so i can't use pso2proxy

If the game is freezing (eg: FPS 0), this is a problem with your computer rather than latency.

Check out your computer for problems if this is the case -- a couple of days ago my CPU was at 78C so it was down throttling hard, and even enemies spawning would cause my game to freeeze (man, that was horrible during the two TDs I did).

In the case that it's latency, yes, the lag spikes do affect the visiphone. The visiphone servers are also separate from the main game servers, so they may also experience their own lag spikes if lots of people are shopping.

I noticed, for whatever reason, there's a huge lagspike, like everyday around 8PM EST.

This.
But lol, Sega.

As I said before, it's blatantly obvious that ep 3 will get a lot more people to play than usual.
So Sega should have added / upgraded servers before August 27th to make sure it's smooth service even when tons of people play again that weren't playing normally.

Yeah, was doing XQ yesterday with some friends. At first we had a MASSIVE lag spike at the Risg/Haze stage. All of us thought we would have disconnected  The lag spike was for like, a full 2 minutes or something. After that, when we were in campship, it lagged for another 1-2 minutes, and all 3 of my friends except me disconnected  And when we did XQ, some of the loading tunnels took a full minute, too.

It wasn't even JP prime time then.

I miss when I didn't get the massive lag every time I log on or come back to lobby. My pc could use some work as well. Anyone know how I can boost my pc's performance without spending too much or anything at all?

FPS 60 -> 120 cap minimizes the load lag, for starters, but your computer has to actually be able to get higher than 60 for that.

Restarting your game multiple times ALSO helps. It's incredibly dumb, but PSO2 gives you a random performance everytime you load it up. This affects all sorts of loads: Loading people, loading weapons, loading maps (tunnelling screen), etc. etc.

Check that your computer isn't overheating. If it is, it will be downthrottling and giving you heavy FPS drops ingame.

There's not really much you can do, except upgrade the computer. SSD is a huge help, as it makes PSO2 pick a "good" client more often, although you can still get the laggy type. Apart from that, upgrade your CPU and GPU to something a little more... mid-end or so (after getting a Corsair PSU and GTX660, my clients are kind of good, but can be bad if PSO2 doesn't like me that day).

I just started having this issue when we got episode 3, but I guess I'm getting a bad client more often now because restarting the game normally fixes it.

That might explain the 5 630s I've had in the last two hours.

Well they are using a unstable route with a prefix bigger than /24 after all. Also since the servers are on this route I see on bumped that scheduled e-quests are alternated between ships rather than all ships starting at the same time like before.

I play both during JP prime and US prime and the lag usually is the worst when people from US/EU start to log into the game. During JP prime I usually don't have much more lag then I had before the DDoS. I use Pingzapper as my tunnel.

At first I thought it was because a lot of people connect trough Pingzapper during those times, but a while back a JP dude complained during an EQ as well.
