Is there an english version or patch to this game? I remember playing it back on the gamecube and would love to get back into it, but not if everything is in Japanese, no offense I just like being able to read the game and understand what's being said as well.

It's amazing how people can't google search anything these days.

http://arks-layer.com/ <-- Literally the first result after searching 'pso2 english patch'.

yes there is an english patch to this game that is very well done and very thorough, there are a SHITTON of english players on ship 2, enough to cause a ruckus that makes jp players hate us, but that's another story.

and honestly, sometimes I feel like if i played the game without the patch... it would be the same.
Keep note that this game is probably very different in gameplay style compared to the past phantasy star series. I heard it's nothing similar except in name.
This whole game is about who's got the best gear, best costumes, most detailed character creation, and most meseta. In order to achieve that you must grind like a mofo. The story in this game is almost nonexistent imo. The truth is, the patch wouldn't even be needed after a while when you memorize where all the menu's/controls are.

Work in IT, you'll see the true stupidity of the human race. "Ma'am, please reboot your PC to blah blah blah." "Ok! *turns monitor off and on again* Done!" "....."

I want to admonish you all for thinking someone should be able to easily google this and somehow magically know that Arks-Layer is a trustworthy site, but I'm too busy laughing at the fact that you're comparing this to IT.

Nah, searching is the way to go. So many people would easily fix the IP block issue if, instead of asking stupid questions, they just googled (http://computerfixersincarmelin.com/windows-phantasy-star-online-2-error-249.php) it (http://computerfixerphiladelphia.com/windows-pso2-error-249.php) first (http://pcrepairpro16.com/pso2-error-code-249.php).

It's also a little ironic to see English patch users reproach anybody else for depending on others.
