View Full Version : PSO2 Tweaker says server status offline?

I've been trying to get this game to work for awhile. Finally downloaded the game, installed the english patches via PSO2 Tweaker, but as it shows here (http://gyazo.com/cf97d90fe3b29ea4b05f8ca066472b04), it says the server is offline. I then noticed it said there was maintenance today, but according to the site it says servers are online, and I see a few forum posts corroborate that. So I'm wondering what I can do so it makes the status online for me. Also, shown here (http://gyazo.com/d3ca05cb959a91cde2e4a2d372568f9e) is my struggle trying to create a Sega ID to play this game. Site says network error. Anybody know a way around this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's normal for tweaker to say the servers are offline, just ignore it.

Ah ok that's a load off then, I tried to log in with a bogus sega ID just to test and got this (http://gyazo.com/2ce1cb2497b7aba2cd98a6b6c0446d37). I hope it's just because what I tried to login with didn't exist, but i feel like if that was the case it wouldn't have said network error. However, in my second screenshot in the OP it shows that when I type my email in to register for a Sega ID, following the guide on arks-layer, I got a network error there too. Is there something wrong with the site or is it me?

Aw crap, any word of advice what I should do then? I mean I can't even get onto the website to make a Sega ID without it giving me an error...not sure where to go from here.

edit: I got the status to say online and now I can connect to the servers in game, but this site to register (https://iway.isao.net/sega/mail_in.cgi?siteno=), put in my email and it spits out an error

"Error (027)
is a network error. (SEGAID management page http://gw.sega.jp/ please contact us)."

So I'm just a few steps away from finally playing this game, but the damn site won't let me register lol :(.

Might need a vpn or use the special built in proxy to get it going.

A VPN/proxy to sign up for a sega ID on the japanese site? Dang I wish I knew how to work that...odd the arks layer guide doesn't specify needing such a tool. Somebody just doesn't want me to play this game :/.

You probably don't know this but back in the summer someone DDOS'd pso2 so since then Sega "fixed" their servers heck even some Japanese are having trouble logging in. But yeah you might need a vpn or use the Tweakers proxy. One you learn how to configure it its pretty simple and ARKS Layer probably forgot to update their databases er something like that.

Ahh thanks for the info. I got it working though. Did some research, and apparently some email providers are blocked. Hotmail being one of them, so I just used my yahoo account to sign up and it's working fine now :).
