What year does PSO take place in?

Have always wondered this.

Surely that depends on which episode of PSO you're referring to?

Episode 2 takes place an undetermined amount of time after Episode 1 (evidenced by Flowens messages) although some online quests may provide dates. Episodes 3 & 4 take place much later, but the introduction FMVs for those respective games give dates (IIRC) in their introduction sequences.

PSO Episode I takes place in AUW 3084 (even the name of the Hunters Guild area song is "Crossing3084").

I'm pretty sure that Episode 4 takes place 2 years after Episode 2, and then Episode 3 takes place 21 years after Episode 4. Can't exactly slap a year on those though, since we don't know how long exactly Episode 2 takes place after Episode 1 (I think that it can't be more than a year, but there's nothing solid I know of to confirm).
