how do you see long named potentials?

I cant even tell what level potential a weapon like elysion has because the number is scrolled off

would you have to completely uninstall the eng patch and login especially to check this?

Click the third tab, that has the specific abiltiies on each row.

if you click the + thinger, it'll give you the stats, look at the % that'll be your cue to what lvl it is.

Look it up yourself on wiki or cirno, and some potential may not add their exact addition value to the note and you may need to read wiki to find out the exact value anyway.

the problem isnt finding the item for sale the problem is seeing the damn value/level name

Then just uninstall english patch, english font has hellish character limit since text field on ability row is too damn short.

Edit: Looks like they (translator) forgot to add linebreak to the description.
Yeah, the only cure for this either report it to translation team and have them fixed it, or uninstall english patch.
