Are u able to trade items for meseta or just items for items?

Yes you can trade items for meseta.

you can even trade a monomate for...gasp...a Monofluid if you can find yourself a sucker.

All kidding aside you can trade any findable item in the game for another if you find a person willing to make that deal.
