BSOD Is the black screen that comes up and informs that there has been an error that has occured, please turn GC off and consult the PSO Handbook right? I just got this while playing offline and none of my information was corrupted. So what I'm asking is if this happens again will I have to worry about corruption? Remember this is an offline question.

The only way to corupt a file offline is to cut the power while saving to my knowledge.

But is that the message and screen you usually get when a BSOD occurs?

No, that's not a BSoD. It's just some system error that shuts down the game being played. A friend of mine seems to be plagued by that and has lost stuff because getting that while online is just like being FSoD. Anyway, only time you could possibly be corrupted is while the game is saving. You will lose your experience and any items you found while playing if that error comes up, though. So save your game often (after finding something really important or after clearing a quest or an area and defeating a boss).

BSoD is when the screen goes completely black. Nothing else. However, a real BSoD will only occur online and is easily avoided by just pulling the modem/BBA cable. An FSoD can occur while the screen is black, and some people mistakenly call that a BSoD. FSoDs can strike at any time without warning.
