View Full Version : Grinding 13*s Is not nice

So today i finally found a 13* Rifle and to my shock, it cost 190-200k per grind and 3 lambda grinders per grind.

I was all excited about getting a 13* but now the cost to grind them is just ridiculous. Lambda Grinders are not easy to get. If you have 1 character.

Use the +7 Grinder to skip to +7 directly.

Sure, that qualifies as a good solution to the original issue.

That's sad. It's early days of 13* though. I'm pretty sure just like 10* and below got easier to grind over time so 13* will, given enough time that. But yeah, bad model.

Ultimate is fun, but those 13* drop rates and now these grind costs, damn.

The grind success rates are really generous though.

Some billion meseta later there might be a cool route found.

I'm glad it's like this or else Ultimate will become nothing with the time if all people have 13* weapons that in my opinion where introduced too soon and worst of all on a single monster.

13*s are easier than 11, and I have also never seen any 10* say "Safe" while using a 30% at +7 or higher. 200k seems like a lot, yeah, and full grind reducts soared for a reason, but getting to +10 wasn't so bad, at +18 now, just waiting for more meseta. At +7 it's more than worth it, I have the rifle as well, and +20 zero effort potential can't beat it. I don't know about Sat Cannon Rifles, but, the 13* isn't a one trick pony.

Yeah that's true, it took me like x20 250%s x3 100%s to get one, but then some people first day... and ofc when i least expect it, when i have no boosts on, i get it.

Yup so i hear it would save a lot of meseta, and also another trick is do Zieg CO on each character every week for the crafting reward to trade for lambda grinder.

A little, lol. As many weapons as I have +20 through +40, as of last week, it does seem a lot harder. I actually spent a lot more money keeping my Helen TMGs at +8 than I did +18 on my 13 star rifle. SEGA logic at it's finest.

13* grind rates are more likely to succeed than 11*s. That is fact.

you're lucky :P I used over 50x 250% rare drop boosts and over 20x 100% triboosts only to get nothing :p

I actually got my rifle on a whim without boosts as well. Anga hates all with boosters!

Yes if 100% you mean 100% full grind sucess.

I thought what the hay i will try grind it at least 3x to see what its like to grind but failed 3x in a row lol, with +1s

13* have 50% success rate from +5 to +10

Meanwhile, 10* have 55% at +5 and 30% at +9->+10

Oh yeah, i forgot to add something important or irrelevant i really don't know what to think.

When i grind the 13* it Gave me ownership rights to the weapon making it bound to the owner. I don't understand sega's logic there, we can't sell 13*s anyway and i assume it would be a long long time till we can.

It's a method of turning them into money sinks (and for unfortunate players, even excube sinks)

Well PSO2 is a SEGA's game, so don't look for logic in that game. :v

Even if 13 stars had crappy grinding rates, they're still powerful and usable at any point.
Other weapons aren't really worth using until you max them out.

As many other people have said.

>grind skip 7
>grind success +30%
>grind protect full
>????
>profit

It's super easy, and cheap. Mine went straight to +10 without any fails. The only problem is buying 20 costumes for grind skips.

To be honest I'm more interested in the 12* rifle than 13*.

Yeah which i worked it out to be like Approx 22mil to 40+ one. And that's not including affixing....

Grind skip +7... Do you guys really want to waste 20 AC items on that?

Xaeris
Dec 2, 2014, 10:37 PM
AC fodder goes for about 200k currently so a Grind Skip costs 4m. It'll probably drop a little tomorrow given a new scratch, but let's just go with that for now. Grinding a 13* costs just shy of 200k so getting to +7 will run you 1.4m, bare minimum. Add in the risk of failure and the risk of losing multiple grinds in one failure and yes, a Grind Skip becomes a no brainer.

You mean 4 mil :P + with grind skips 7s we don't have to use up all our precious lambda grinders .

^^ well tbh i don't mind paying that much, 13* weps are the best in the game in terms of damage right now, no 11* or 12* can match or beat it.

How did you got those 100% grind success rate ? D:

Edit : I mean where did you get those 3 100% grind success rate, I had only one that I used for a 12* because I was getting bored to fail +9 -> +10 :3

I haven't a single 100% Grind Success Rate that SEGA has given us in some special occasions. I currently have 4 as of now.

Only place the 100% grind success items are given out are the Netcafe TA competitions they sometimes hold, but otherwise it has to come from campaigns or compensation.
