Attention, ARKS members!

Starting January 15, 2015, we will be reducing the number of blocks to 10 per ship.

The reduced number of blocks will give you the benefit of:

PLAYER BONDING: With lesser blocks to fill, it’ll be easier to search for friends. And with more players occupying a block, you’ll have more players to bond and have adventures with. And lobbies will be even livelier!

EASIER NAVIGATION: Less blocks become easier to scroll through.

This change will only make the game stronger and your gaming experience better. So get ready to join your friends online and have the adventure of your lives in Phantasy Star Online 2!

Wait, isn't SEA only have 2 ships? So that mean, it only 20 blocks in total? Holy fuck.

Edit: 10 per ship, can you even cover all the block categories of PSO2JP with that?

Barely after crossing out all the shit they probably don't even have yet LOL.
They don't even have much quest type atm let alone EP2&3 content, SEA didn't need all of those blocks either cause player bonding and easier block navigation!
I doubt SEA will live long enough to see falz dentist or even EP2 content at all.

This reminds me of US PSU lmao.

They did the same thing in the US version of PSU because our version sucked so bad. I also remember when they closed down the PS2/PC US servers all early because they only had like 2 stars in Uni 2 lol.

What's seaPSO2's current update status anyway? Last thing I remember is that they got Elder... but they weren't actually done with EP1, matterboard-wise.

So, it's possible if they are raised and treated properly?

But seriously, this is just sad. They isolated themselves via an IP block, thus reducing the number of people who speak English maybe joining that server, and now shutting down in less than two years of operation seems inevitable.

Maybic, or play music to overlap the hissing and barking. If this is sega way of fixing the issue they are making a poor choice. Ironically, I remember when the reduced the server limit on psu. It brought a community closer after it happened. Honestly, I wish sega understood why players from the USA/UE migrated to jp server instead of acting like they were invaded. They just want to play a game. Thats all.

Remember, SEGA basically has little to do with the SEA version save just giving them the game resources; any issues and the IP block are all AsiaSoft.

Doing something this stupid is making them lose a lot of credibly and trust.

If it's anything like RO2, they'll lift their IP ban once they're more desperate.

Is that legal? Plus I'm sad to hear RO has to do something like that to keep their game alive. =/

I could see asiasoft lifting the non-sea region block stealthily, but even if the asiasoft release goes under, I don't see sega japan lifting the sea block.
