Ack! Help with boss please!

This is embarrassing...

I'm stuck on Rol Dal Rie (sp?) on NORMAL!

Lv 12 RAcast
Thunder Rifle +5
Giga Frame
(Knight/Power)
Giga Shield

Any ideas besides level up?

One trick is to stockpile mates inside the boss fight. Here's how:

1) Get 10X of all types of mates you can.

2) Set a telepipe outside the boss warp.

3) Enter boss fight and drop all your mates.

4) Die, then return to Pioneer 2.

5) While on Pioneer 2, stock up on mates again.

6) Enter the telepipe and fight the boss again.

Your original set of mates will still be on the ground from when you last fought the boss. You can do this as many times as you'd like in order to have enough mates to beat the boss.

mechgun type and concentrate on his head or... can racasts use partisan- or sword type weapons? well any multihit weapon (spread, cannon, slicer) on the whole body.

the mate trick may be helpful. well... like you said... easiest thing would be to level some more ^_^; do all the quests... several addicting food-quest runs or something.

Why do u have a problem with him on norm? Is it hard to dodge his attacks? Not if you know how.

Spikey bomb things: kill one then hide in it's corner. If they surround you, kill them all.

Laser barrage: pretty hard to dodge, but not too strong.

Tentacles: he only uses these when on the boat. When he grabs the side, hit him a few times. (6 is good) then run. When the tentacle misses, do 3 hits, then run. repeat

Rock rain: stand in a corner and pray. Not much you can do about this. Using this attack makes the lights go out.

Big laser: simply move to the side as he charges it.

The mate trick is good if you need extra health, but if he's not hitting you it doesn't matter.

Yeah, I can dodge the attacks, but mistakes always happens; camera switches, so I run into laser, wait too long to dodge the tentacles... ect, ect.

I can always get him down to the point where the armor on his face/head cracks off and he screams every time I hit him there afterwards. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

How far into the fight is that?

Once you get his mask off, he is I think 2/3 dead(someone correct me if i am wrong?), and for the rock attack he does, there is this one spot on the side of the boat that when you look at the map to see your position, it will look like you are not even on the boat. I use that trick on him all the time, and so far i have never gotten hit by the rocks! But i would say the easiest way to beat him would be to level up first.

the tentacle pattern is as followed:
-de rol le lands on the raft
-time for 3 full combos
-tentacle 1
-time for 1 full combo + 1 normal hit
-tentacle 2
-time for 1 full combo + 1 normal hit
-tentacle 3
-time for 1 full combo + 1 normal hit
-tentacle 4
-now some time to hit him some more while he slides off the raft.

To dodge the rocks and photon balls that he shoots out of his side to the the northern corner on the side that he is on. With you rifle go to the other side of the boat and shoot him, you can see his tentacles coming at you and they are easy to dodge then. Just shoot, shoot and the shoot some more until he is dead!!
