View Full Version : PSO2 What is your favorite class/subclass?

This is multi-choice poll if you have more than one favorite.

I really enjoy Bouncer. Jet boots let me fly around and spin in the sky. Then I can whip out some Dual Sabers and dish out some melee attacks and heal myself or cast tech damage.

I was always in love with Hunter (literally the class I play in every game), but Braver is also fun. I love the swift strikes, then being able to use a bow for long range encounters.

TEhu allows me to be a heavy machine in the form of a frail girl.
Withstand tons of damage and be able to provide damage myself. I am, essentially a bruiser

Ranger. I always liked ranged combat in PSO, so this was the first choice for me when creating my character. Launchers only made it better.

Fo/te and Fi/BO.
Nothing like blowing things up.

Br/Hu... was a Hunter main for the longest and then Braver was released with Episode 2 I fell in love with the class from the get go. Funnily enough I don't play Hunter as much any more it just feels so slow and sluggish compared to Braver.

That said I generally enjoy all the Melee classes in this game (I main Melee classes in most MMO's etc) Fallen in Love with Fi/Hu again because Limit break is just so good.

Bouncer and Jet boots allow me to kick ennemies, to fly, I don't play twin blades.

Fighter because twin daggers ftw

Gunner because I love close-ranged combat, and mechguns do that greatly.

And maybe Hunter with Sword, but I didn't count that one in the poll.

Hu is subclass fodder to me.

Ranger, Gunner, and Braver(Bow) are my personal favorites.

I like killing things from a distance.

Bouncer. Because I love Dual Blades. Also, S&Y.

Hunter for Swords, Fighter for Knucs

I would like to get more acquainted with Braver's Katana and Bouncer's Jet Boots though oxo

I typically Main HU/FI in the sort of off-tank manner, enough HP and defenses to keep swinging uninterupted while still enough Damage to throw down.

A Berserker if you will oxo . . .

Bouncer sub Force or Techer

I don't care how impractical T-ATK Bouncers are, I'm satisfied with my 3000+ T-ATK lol

I wish BO was a better sub. As of now, all it's good for is PBF which is fucking lame. I wish its support got expanded on to be more relevant to group play and as a good draw when picking subclasses. Do you ever hear of people subbing a class for support? BO could make that a reality easily.
It's as if Sega is too scared of making support skills too strong? Then again it did take them 2 years to finally decide to make techer's shifta give the oomph it does now, but of course they cap it as main class only.

- Sword Hu (tankier)
- Knuckle Fi (gotta love smashing things with backhand ...... SMAAAAASH !!!)
- Support Talis Te (I don't mind going Talis Fo too, but my T-Atk equipment is geared toward Support Te (0 PP affixes))
- Support JB Te (Let me play with much less brain usage)
- Katana Fi

Most fun one is still Tmg Gu for me.

Too bad rifle can't do "scoped mode" and Sneak Shooter moves forward when holding it :/ I'd vote for Ra too if I can go scoped mode and Sneak Shooter not moving forward with Rifle for long-range fights.

I wish BO was a better sub.

I thought a lot of people were going Hu/Bo over Hu/Br nowadays, so there's that.

Hunter, swords & partisan in particular.

I just wish it didn't need so much conditional upkeep to be wildly ... mediocre. The fact that its still used better as a SubClass than a Main bothers me.

Really enjoyed Fi/Hu (dat tornado dance/illusion rave) and then switched to Br on a whim and never changed back.

Br/Hu is my poison, and the only thing more fun than slicing bosses with Asagiri Rendan is surviving an attack that kills everyone else by using katana counter. Not only are you still alive, you're glowing. :D

Fighter hands down

Fighter main weapons all are really good fun for me, comboing with PAs is even more viable (well, while I solo anyway) when ep3 landed, most of them flow so nicely and with daggers you can actually just fly about all over the area. Very high mobility which again, is fun for me to zip about the battlefield and kill stuff (assuming no fo's insta nuke it all)

It uses Hunter weapons better then hunters, for when damage matters. Same with boots and duel-blades, now if they had better boss killing PA's then about 2 the class would be perfect.

what.

My default katana palette is actually Shunka/Hien/Asagiri, and I haven't had a need to change it in a while. It's very mobile and fun all-purpose setup, but I guess I haven't hung out with any other bravers long enough for a critique.

You get 57mins to gather people for random EQs and like a few days for schedules ones seems pretty easy for me if people are on at least but that is never the case

I meant something like the way people have been setting up those boss trigger runs, or in other online games guilds might be like "We do raids between x and y pm on saturday nights".
There's no way to schedule around random EQs, and even the scheduled ones might not be at good times for everyone who wants to go. Not to mention 12 people is a lot to gather on short notice either way, Though I think 5-8 organized players could do better than a 12 man group of randoms.

Pretty much, if your on a team it helps but if your not gonna roll with your team your pretty much throwing the dice in hopes of getting a good mpa for the duration

You can play and have fun but it doesnt mean you can't be good at the same time. However I do not like seeing someone use Shunka in TD while others come in wiping out the mob because you thought you could handle 6 Bugs using War Cry and dying cuz you tried to Northern Hero

Simply get more people to play with so you will always have people online! What I usually find is people are too lazy to make mpas most of the time because it takes work rather then a lack of people. Also yes 8 people who know what they are doing is better then 12man group of randoms

Te: I'm all about Te as my primary because of the benefits to buffs. Buffs are such a staple to the PSO series for me, they are hella, and fun, and make me feel warm-fuzzy and useful. Not to mention the Wind/Light/Dark options are rad, and all the love in the world can't speak of how rockin' wands, wand gear, wand lovers are.

Bo: Initially I took this with the concept of making it additional supportive options (and an excuse for a dex mag) while maining as Te, it wasn't until actually using it that I realized how wonderful the Jet Boots are (especially as a Te, whouda thunk) and totally fell for the class as an effective and entertaining subclass.

Gu: While not as much as Bo, I've find the Gu makes a really fun subclass with a support-oriented Te too-- Better, when S Roll was superior, but its still good fun to soar around and drop buffs and then chain triggers.

Force: Love spellcasters. Nothing beats the feeling of unloading your damage from afar.

Techer: The support oriented class. I love this class for Wand Lovers and access to stronger buffs. Also, tankier in that regard makes me very happy. I'm just sad that I'm not very good with bossing as a Techer main class. :T

Gunner: Despite people saying that Gunner sucks, I've been having a blast playing as Gu/Ra. It's the satisfaction of being able to melt bosses whenever you get the Chain Trigger procs. Also, it's a roller coaster ride because you have those moments of satisfaction, and those moments where you want to break your keyboard because the boss moves and you can't trigger the CT/ you hit the arm of some sort.

Played FI/TE until Hunter got buffed, then TE/HU with allclass wirelances...

Then from the heavens descended the Bouncer.

HU/BO with HU-able blades is my life now. Sliding around the universe, farting blades at every weak spot, zondeeling things together to make a modest AoE move like Kestrel Rampage ten times more killy, and warbrave to distract and boost when necessary.

I finally feel like I have a home, class-wise.
