This new difficulty..

Is there any real reason why the enemies dish out so much damage?
I feel that it´s enough for them being HP sponges.
I try to keep up, but dang nearly everything one shots me.

I even try that Iron Will skill to try to live with 1 Hp, but it doesn´t work that often.
Any advice? I´m mostly using Twin mechguns.

The main thing that I would like recommending you is... try to do this mission in SH and farm many times for farming Memory Fragments J, and then buff the PAs that you use on your TMGs.

About mobs and bosses, yeah, they're very powerful, but not invincible. The only thing that i can recommend you is... from this post (http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3237500&postcount=3), get a build with Element Weak Shoot and Element Weak Hit, although you won't need Ancient Oath since you can double damage with just two skills. Try farm many those memory fragments until you have enough pieces for buffing your GAs.
