And before that? Virtual-On. They already made Outfits and heads/hairs and weapon camos and lobby actions and even PAs from that series. Just look up the Temjin or Fei-Yen content.

I never played the Virtual-On game(s) & I wasn't around for any of the colab content, due to being locked out from the 2014 DDoS attacks. I wasn't even able to get my compensation items. ;_;

I've been saying that instead of just throwing in AIS as is now, they should have made a mech customization system, where you can basically make your own personal AIS.
They could have sold people parts and such via AC scratch, too.
