Matter board glitch?

I need some help here. I completed matter board 1-1 and 1-2,and now the game skipped...well....everything and went to 3-1. I can't turn in 1-1 or 1-2 and I am at a loss as the game skipped over half it's storlyine leaving me clueless.

Open matter board 1-2 (or 1-1) then the game should ask you if you want to set your current matter board to that.

I did that. I go to where I should meet Xion or whatever (both of them are complete) and she never appears.
