Game Cube question

Iam an uber newbie right off the bat ill let you know so you dont think iam a total idiot.

I have a lvl 72 ranger so far...now my question is...
can a character hit lvl 200? or is it stuck at 100...i have read various things on different pages.
any help would be great.

lvl 200 is the max on the gc version

The level 100 cap was only for version 1 on Dreamcast.
