Mouse and controller problems

I have a friend that just installed PSO2 and the attack with mouse button does not work. Its neither the Z T or scroll lock problem.
Today he bought a pc game controller and says it does not work as well.
The mouse works just fine in other programs, also a mouse with cord was tried to check vs blue tooth wireless problems, that did not work either.

Any idea?

Does he have a Razer Nostromo. For some reason the drivers for it screw up compatibility with PC controllers, not sure about mice though. Also, best controller to sue with PSO2 is a 360 controller(wired), it's the only one I've seen work with the game so far.

one:did he plug it in after starting the game if so it's game guard messing with it
two:check your drivers if 1 isn't the issue
