I was doing some story quests and something strange happened.

Tea's hair devoured my characters whole face.

Patty's hair almost devoured Tea's face too.

Is this normal?

The event is on: Event Chronicle>Episode 1 Sub Story>Chapter 10 Tea & Patty. Cauldron area.
Just want to make sure if it's just the game acting up or my GPU. ^^;

I don't think it's normal. Probably your GPU.
It looks like what happened is your GPU can't handle mesh with transparent texture overlapping another mesh with transparent texture, and starts flipping out.

What GPU do you have? Do you have the latest video card drivers?

Wow, that looks incredibly awkward... but yeah. You should check if you have the latest drivers, especially if you're running dem ever so awesome Nvidia Cards.

I just reinstalled my OS 3 days ago so it's a fresh install of my system, and I updated the graphics card the same day I reinstall my OS too (just recently released on May). It's an Intel HD 4400 integrated graphics (integrated graphics suck but I just don't have the time to build my own desktop right now, this graphics is mid-tier and isn't that bad actually)

It would be really helpful for me if someone could check if it's the game just acting up by going to the Event Chronicle and look for the Episode 1 Sub Events with Tea & Patty. The reliable event is the one where you meet Tea & Patty on Chapter 10 Episode 1 Cauldron Area.

I might try to reinstall my GPU, but I doubt that will help.

Running on ASUS K46CB NVIDIA GT740M with latest graphic driver.

Kind of weird considering the rest of the game plays just fine...

Postan SS later.

Thank you! I really appreciate it!

I was worried I had to RMA this laptop again for the 2nd time. The first laptop had GPU defects and it was so time consuming reinstalling everything from scratch (specially PSO2.)

EDIT: Yeah, everything works fine in the game. When that clipping issue showed up for the first time, I freaked out.

I never notice this issue before reading your thread...
Is this some kind of bug?

I'm certain it is just a bug. I never noticed it too until that cutscene showed up.

It also happens on different graphics drivers (I have Intel and you have Nvidia) so it's most certainly a non-game breaking bug (except breaking the immersion, because a hair eating your whole face is just freaky.)
