I'm having the same exact problem. I've reinstalled the game twice now, and nothing has changed.

EDIT: Ok I figured it out, you need to delete your documents folder. Be sure to save your screenshots and the like if you don't want to lose them

So delete the entire "SEGA" Folder?

also I saved the screenshots in a diff folder

Not a very great move cause now opening the official launcher prompts the game to re-update itself.

Hmm, try reinstalling the game now, cause I reinstalled then I deleted the pso2 folder in documents.

Yeah, after that, the game began working for me again.

Even after re installing and deleting the document folder im still getting the crash right after the character select. It happens when I choose my character and then loads to the lobby for like 4 seconds then it freezes and crashes giving me the exe issue. Despite trouble shooting every option there was on the tweaker...

Nevermind....solved the issue with revo-Uninstaller to delete registry keys and all leftover files associated with the game. Re-installed and the game now works fine.
