This is probably wrong, but I have a theory about rare items online. For the second day in a row, I went online early (2pm), so I go into the forest and after killing the first set of monsters I found a 1983 Agito. Now in ~230 hours combined playtime I have never come across one (note: yesterday I found my first Brave Knuckle, playing at roughly the same time). You can see where my theory is going now.
Im starting to think that Sega makes X number of rares available everyday, and that as the day progresses and people find them they are depleted. OK, this is just from my own anecdotal evidence mind you. I am a night player, usually from 10pm-3am or so, and I never find anything really "good". And the 2 times I log on early, I get 2 items I have never come across before. Oh, yeah, and whenever I play online at night, I usually follow the same routine (clear forest, then mines, etc.) So it seems wierd to me, that I would find these things early in the day, but not late....
Think it holds any water?
