So it seems like a theme here that most of these weapons have a potential that upgrades PAs that are also craft able. For example a pair of TMGs that boost the potential of Bullet Squall, which can already be crafted.

Is this going to be as powerful as it seems?

Since they'll only boost the damage of a single PA, they're not really over the top. Unless you plan to only use that single PA, you probably wouldn't miss out on much by going with a latent with a smaller, but more universal effect. Not to mention there are also weapons with species latents that give a hefty damage boost regardless of PA, most of which are pretty inexpensive. Outside of a few, latents that boost PA damage are usually a pass.

No. Xie trade-ins are already completely superior even for the corresponding PA boost, and those are easy to acquire 13*s that pretty much everyone with XH access should have for their weapons by now (the ones worth using, at least). Then there's the problem of value. Would you use a TMG that only boosts Bullet Squall? Or one that boosts every PA? Or would you make a full set of TMGs with PA latents? PA latents have been in the game for a long time, and only a couple have ever been viable compared to other potentials. Namely the weapons that only have a couple PAs worth using in the first place.

Although it is pretty interesting to note that all of the PA latents included in this update are for the ones with crafts released. Good eye on that. Think WL/GS/AR/Launcher are the only ones that didn't get a corresponding PA latent in this update.
