Weapon General Election (weapon design poll)

Voting period: 11/25 14:00 - 12/9 16:00 JST

- Click on the button on the top right of a weapon's picture to vote. Can vote once per category, per day.
(The big purple buttons are for different weapon pages. Striking weapons (Hunter/Braver), Striking weapons (Fighter/Bouncer), Ranged weapons, Tech weapons in that order)
- Voting cooldown resets at midnight JST everyday
- They'll announce standings midway through the voting period
- After the poll's results are announced, the winning weapons in each of the 17 categories will get a 13* rarity, all class "Ver2" weapon with the same designs. (Ver2 weapons have the possibility of getting different potentials than the original weapons.)

So this means the debut of multiclass 13* weapons... But I somehow doubt they'll be strong in terms of potential/atk.

I don't know, since the multiclassing ideas are pretty much got hammered with the title damage boost stuff.
Having multiclass weapon are kinda neat if you're want to level different class though.

Hilarious, we'll finally get multi-class 13*s and Sega are trying to sabotage them as much as possible by reviving all the god awful weapon designs that nobody wanted to use when they were lvl 30, let alone 75.

Forget all the great 7-10*s people still craft because they love the look (Firearms, Double Saber Legacy, M25SE Missouri/Licht etc.), bring back all the Lambda shit, Ep1 enemy parts and love heart themed weapons. Only Sega.

I try to use extended Esrain and Blizaxe where possible. I like a number of these, actually. Zaxe, Sarhaling are ones I go out of my way to use. Kinda liked blue castilon. Not really fond of the wire lances or partisans, though.

Problem is Fi potentially dealing more damage with another class' weapons, which class-locked 13*s for the most part stopped.

Many people think about it at face value, and want to defend it with 'but freedom! but choice!', but in reality, it's freedom to abuse Fi's superior mainclass skills for striking weapon damage, and little else.

Thankfully mainclass weapon damage bonus may mitigate this somewhat, but I'm of the opinion multiclass 13*s should have never been a thing when the power of mainclass skills between some classes is night and day (see DB Bo main vs DB Fi main). The game has enough balance problems as is without having multiclass 13* weapons likely to be at least as strong as xie's weapons, and possibly encouraging a meta of 'main Xx class for top damage' for at least a half-dozen weapon categories native to 3 other classes.

Only weapon I really want to see win is Coat Edge (which is to say, Coat Edge is the only weapon that has a design I like in the poll, little use for multi-class swords), kinda surprising that nobody has commented on it or wants other swords to win. Never was fond of Tarnada or Coat Edge, felt uninventive. Ardillo and Ikutachi are just dumb. I'd be surprised if Coat Edge or Tarnada didn't win, though. I'm also pretty damn sure that I won't get another Sarhaling/Neigling weapon being Signo Braver is going to run away with that one. At least I can still hope Oboro wins. That's the only one I can imagine winning among the ones I like.

That aside, the contest isn't bad. There are a ton of awesome looking weapons that are just crap so you'll never use them and we still can't turn all weapons into a camos.

This is the closest we get to being able to use an outdated weapon with awesome design without having it suck.
It's just that people have horrible, horrible taste.

And yeah, SEGA chose these designs. Not the player base. Though Coat Edge gets top spot for sword anyway for me, so I'm good with that.

Also, as a reminder, these weapons are going to have either the same potential or a related potential, so it's not just about aesthetics here.

Along with a pretty original compact sheath, and hilt design, the kalcisma-line is among the most original, and practical designs for a space katana in game when given the right color scheme, such as its dio version.

Looks meh to me. It's clunky, misshapen, and hardly looks like a katana in the first place. Probably why Lambda Castilion is second place even with its hideous color scheme, it's the only katana here besides Dio Sigalga that actually looks like a katana. Yeah, it's "unique", but so's Roundeet.

Looking at it more, if you expanded the width between the two blades and put a gun between them, you'd have a GS...it even resembles some of the GS on the poll!

Well, from looking at the small icons already in the game, it looks like they are at least going to add weapon camos based on the 1* versions of TMGs and JBs.

Agreed, but I think part of the reason is because... right before they decided to make this game directionless tropefest smothered in the bad parts of Japan's pop culture. It's direction was actually a serious space sci-fi adventure game. So the first set of weapons and outfits(though not all of em are amazing looking) mostly had a slightly more mature look and consistent theme to them.

Now all their non-PSO/PSU revived weapons look like they just used a random shape generator untill and attached a katana/bustersword blade/gunbarrel to it and made half of it a photon and added 2-3 more re-skins to it.
