Okay so recently i've been getting what sounds like the sound in PSO2 is stuttering, tearing, skipping etc. It's usually when there's a lot going on in during missions. Wondered if anyone has had this issue before & can help me fix it?

I'm on a fairly strong PC (One of the ASUS ROG laptops) which probably doesn't mean much but either way if someone might have an idea & or solution it would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

Update your audio codecs. For me I recently installed Windows 10 and had to get Realtek HD Audio Codecs that supported Windows 10.
Updating my audio codecs fixed this problem.

- Restart Windows
- Update your driver
- Clean up your laptop fan
- Set power plan to max performance and make sure your CPU/GPU runs at 100% performance
- Using NVIDIA Inspector, play with pre-rendered frame usually either Default 3D application settings, or 1~2 don't go above because it'll make stuff worse
- Disable unnecessary background programs
- Lower PSO2 graphic settings slight a bit
- Defrag your harddisk and check it's R/W speed, make sure it's "healthy"

I rarely got these issue, though when i had this kind of problem it was caused by massive CPU clogging by background program (windows update usually does this real good), so i just need to stop unnecessary stuff or restart and the problem gone.

playing fullscreen and not virtual/windowed fullscreen also helps with performance...at least for my rig. since u're playing on a laptop the windows energy plans might hamper the general performance. make sure that your playing with full performance or alternatively u can unpark ur cpu cores, look it up on google there are plenty of free programs out there.

i don't know what's a rog but since it's a laptop you are propably reaching a threshhold for temperature where it lowers the cpu clocks or it's just your CPU not being able to handle the load, you could try setting unchecking affinity for core 0 for pso2 and see if that helps
