How do you deal with fast attacking bosses that appear out of nowhere, like the few Falz (Hunar, Double, Angel), Persona (Thanks Nyau!! /s ) and Cougar as a melee class? Poor Partner AIs took plenty of beating, yours truly has a built-in-magnet for these baddies!

Newbie here, do share your brain power!!! Thaaaanks!

Wait for their openings and deal as much damage as you can during them.
If you're a Hunter or Braver and you feel ballsy, try to Just Guard their attacks to get more damage in.

Quick Questions? Come here for quick answers! (http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?t=213385)

For melee, it's always best to wait for an opening, depending on what kind of weapon type you use, make a good use of Just Guard or parry are highly recommended.
Though, for most of the time people will just opt to kill it before it kill them instead, aim for weak spot and pray for the best.

If you are too weak, it's easier to just ignore them and run away. PSO2 has plenty of RNG BS, and this is one of these. These bosses are aimed at experienced players.

Anyway, melee strats against bosses like Falzes are not that different from other ones. Automate Halfline for Hunter, Katana Combat for Braver, Photon Blade Fever right at their cores for Bouncer (Megiverse for healing whenever you can), abuse iframes on Twin Daggers (Facet Folia, for example) and guard frames on Double Saber (Acro Effect). The biggest opportunity to nuke them, however, is right when they spawn. Volg Raptor + Pick Up Throw (Partizan PAs) are your best bet. PUT hits cores very easily.

Persona is about facetanking too. Cougar NX is somewhat different, however. Hug its feet so bullets can't hit you (use chasing PAs like Guren Tessen, Guilty Break, crafted Tornado Dance etc), but be aware of sword attacks - those give enough time to block.

Will try that, though will Just Guard work against flurry of hits? (Persona's sword swings comes to mind, Hunar and Double's ground spiral things too.)

Running away is always the choice so far unless against fast moving Doubles or Fang(s) (telepipe time!!), don't have most of the skills or arts that you mentioned yet. But, notes taken!!

Anyways, thanks all!!

Just Guard usually gives you enough invincibility time to dodge out of the way or for an attack to pass through, unless you're being swarmed by a horde of enemies so look out for that during quests like TD.

Fighting Fang/Snows is also a good way to practice when to dodge/block since their telegraphs are easy to learn after a while so try not to run away all the time!

Yes, it's all blockable using Just Guard.
Just make sure that you timed it properly, additionally JG will grant you like a second of free invicibility, it should help you avoid the second hit, then you can repeat JG if attack are still ongoing.

I just attacking em until they stop moving. Enemies in this game can only take you by number.

To be fair Hunar/Angel/Double are actually legit dangerous if you first run into them at low levels and don't yet know their patterns. 'Course you can always just run away from them, that's what I do when I can't be arsed to play with Ragne-chan during quick DO runs.

You need to memorize patterns, no way around it.
Most bosses have short patterns, no long strings of movements but moving in a certain way means they will follow with a certain attack.

Also, some of them literally announce it cause they actually talk (like Hunar).

Watch youtube videos of people fighting them and focus on what the boss does before it attacks.

The safest bet is to always just time your dodge when they attack and then punch them in the face afterwards.

Tried to take on Nyau's pet, Fang Banser all alone earlier today, getting schooled around before declawing it which made him/her/it? easier. Breaking stuff helps a lot in this game, it seems! Unless it is only for this boss and maybe the other Fang...
Getting a little bit used to their movements now, so, thank you very much!

Maybe in the future! For now, rather impossible to smack them around without taking huge damage in return which for sure will lead to frantic cover seeking or crazy -mates usage.

Just a Hunter for now. Took the All Guard skill to make things a little easier, sure hope that is a right choice though...

Will try the best to memorize them... unless they went crazy like Doubles with their balls and orbs flinging moves. Wonder if there is a better way to avoid all the red balls and orbs, aside from hiding behind some random rock.

Thaaaaanks for sharing, everyone!!! Thanks again to isCasted for the Cougar leg hugging tip!

It's pretty much the opposite. Post related (http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?t=221527).

all guard is basically a 360 block if he means guard stance thats bad but if he went all guard thats a good choice

Granting if you are maining hunter, there is a skill called all guard, which can block from all direction. Not entirely sure it works on normal guard (reduce damge), but definitely works on JG.

All guard definitly works like normal guard, so it'll reduce dmg from all direction if you miss the timing
